AUTHOR'S NOTE

For those of you who like your fanfictions to be perfectly based off of the original novel or show and written properly - as if the original author had written it themselves - and want a huge, honest book out of the idea, you have come to the right place. Starting on 2/10/23, I will release every chapter on a Tuesday and Thursday at varying times. At the moment of writing this note, I have up to Chapter Five written, have proof-read, and they are ready to be released.

I will only be releasing on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Central Daylight Time (CDT).

I want to thank my friend Loki, for assisting me in the planning and creation of the upcoming plot you are about to read and being my editor; for the drama and relations revealed within; and for the end product of Nick Carraway's life from within the perspective of which my slight adaptation has written. I also want to thank Fitzgerald himself for (accidentally, I presume) queer-coding Nick Carraway and making Jay Gatsby the perfect "nervous wreck of a bottom" example for the trope I chose for him.

Things are adapted, changed, and re-written. Within the first few chapters of "My Great Gatsby," many things are exactly the same as they were originally written. The end product of the book and many of the relationships and characters within have been altered appropriately to make this what it has become.

I aim to never miss a dead-line (never fail to post on Tuesdays and Thursdays), despite any writer's block or "episodes" that attack my mental state through-out. Another gay adaptation of a famous novel is the original Dracula, which (sometime after "My Great Gatsby," if it gathers enough friction) may or may not be eventually written in the same way.

(Extra note: I have added a few of my personal - as unprofessional as it sounds - head-cannons to these characters. I won't say them outright, so if you think you know it, try to guess!)

Each chapter will be accompanied by videos of "ASMR Sounds" that most closely resemble the main setting of the story, so please enjoy the best immersive experience I could create with what is available to me.

So for now, as my first gay adaptation novel, please enjoy "My Great Gatsby," a gay love story between Nick Carraway and Jay Gatsby.
