WELCOME TO DEAR READER!

HELLO ! Welcome to my very own help book, aptly titled Dear Reader. I know first-hand how difficult it can be to make graphics of all kinds, so my aim is to teach you everything i've learned (and anything i'm still learning!) in very simple, easy to follow steps.

I think there's a common misconception with help books in that people expect to be a professional overnight. Now for some, that may be true. However, trust me when I say that it's totally ok to struggle in your first few attempts at mimicking what's laid out in the instructions to come▬it certainly took me a while before my own graphics stopped looking absolutely atrocious...like we don't talk about how awful they were, ok? I've pretty much blocked them from my memory.

Anyways, have fun! I hope my advice and tutorials help▬even if it's just a minuscule amount <3

Q & A

i. Will this book include all types of graphics ?   ━━ Yes! I have plans to include more than just covers in this help book (eg. gifs, manips etc.). However, they'll most likely be posted once we've covered the basics of graphic construction as prior knowledge is needed; especially for manips.

ii. What apps do you use ? ━━ I use a combination of adobe photoshop, adobe lightroom, ibis paint, photopea and picsart! Please know, you do not need to purchase adobe photoshop in order to achieve anything i show in this book▬it's just what i happen to use and what i'm most familiar with! Photopea is a fine, free substitute (which i know enough about to provide any directions to similar photoshop features).

iii. Will you provide resources/links ? ━━ I will be curating a pinterest board with any resources used in my tutorials! If you aren't following my pinterest already, it's @swriteswp and has a board dedicated to my previous graphic work.
