Midnight Poetry (2): Dark Poems With Concealed Motivation

1. I Am Scared

I am scared
What will they think?
Shall it not be shared?
My soul lives in that ink

What will they say when they get to know?
I am the dark weeping sky and not the rainbow
I am a used-up lamp that can never glow

All that I do is pretend
Hide behind a happy mask till the end
I don't want them to see when myself I mend

I am scared
How will they react?
Will I be compared
To a warrior or an exigent putting up an act?

Will they give fake sympathy or laugh at me?
A person getting either I don't want to be
Nor is handling attention my cup of tea

I just want to stay the same, without any change
Change has never been good to me, how strange
It means a more hellish life cause heaven is out of my range

I am scared
Shall I even take this step?
Might be glared at or cared
I see time at my doorstep

My hands are shaking, heart is pumping so fast
In my brain, anticipation and fear cause a blast
When I look back, will I thank or regret my past?

Time is ticking, now, it's Hobson's choice
After ages of silence, I finally find my voice
Took the step, clicked the button now...I rejoice

NOW, TO THE POEM! This poem was kinda personal to me. So, it had been sitting in my laptop for ages but I thought that it was time to share it because you guys have always been there for me. So, why not?
