The content reproduced in this is taken from the eligible and informal words of my diaries. From the genesis of this book to the very end, every part was written when I was fourteen, all the way up until my current age. (at the time of writing this foreword, I am eighteen)
There are no edited excerpts or pages. What is to transpire is completely raw and real; the only exceptions are changes to names and addresses. Otherwise, I have not taken the liberty of editing a single part or word to this memoir.
Explicit chapters will be marked by a * beside the name and number. You can expect depictions of the following in varying detail:
- schizophrenic and bipolar episodes.
- CSA trauma
- drug and alcohol abuse
- suicide attempts
- domestic violence
- self-harm
- cursing
- grooming
- physical violence
I've been meaning to tell my story for a long time, and it feels like each time I've gotten closer to making a exodus of my thoughts rather than letting them be just that-- thoughts.
Everything here that I am about to present is left unkempt. I've kept my life peaceful since that horrendous year of fourteen. So much so, that I will be celebrating a year of sobriety from alcohol abuse on New Year's Day, three years clean from self-harm, drugs and suicide attempts, and I no longer speak to the individuals who have done me harm throughout my teens.
By the grace of God, I've lived and regrown, and fantasy land exists no more.
