Kneeling before the corpse, I inspect its wounds. The lacerations and oversized claw marks on its broken limbs are consistent with Werewolves, but the kill isn't.
Werewolves are intelligent, non-aggressive animals. They kill out of necessity. For food, or protection. Not like this.
I place my hand on his chest, trying to picture what happened.
He's a hiker? Blindsided? Toyed with? Was this planned?
Damn Psychometry, useless! I wanted to know why. Not how. None of this makes sense!
Why kill at all? Why like this? Why leave evidence? Why give us proof?
Unless...Soteria protect us. It's a trap!
