Welcome readers!

I am betting you are wondering, "Is this the sequel to The Dragon's Heir?" Well, that is a very interesting question indeed. I would say it is more of a spin-off. It is based many years after The Dragon's Heir, but in the same world, if that makes sense.

Anyway, to those who have never read The Dragon's Heir, you shouldn't need to but there is no harm in going ahead and checking it out. It's not too long and gives a background to this that is more detailed than my little prologue.

To those who read The Dragon's Heir and wanted a sequel, I hope this will satisfy you anyway. Please, read and enjoy, and don't forget to vote!

WARNING: This may take some 500 years for me to complete because I am the queen of procrastination, so don't get too excited yet. I haven't even finalised an ending.

UPDATE on 12 December 2015: I prove that, once again, I am the Queen. It took be an entire year to write Chapter Four... So sorry guys.

Prologue

Many generations ago, dragons were thought to be extinct. Under the rule of House Dakota, the country now known as Tiona was forced into the darkness, completely unaware of the legend that survived within one of the aristocratic houses for generations.

A lady named Arabelle Tiona discovered her family's dark secret, along with one of few surviving dragon eggs within her country, an ice dragon named Kaloua. She was destined to be the dragon's heir and future queen, and so spent many years hiding from her family and friends to prepare herself for the task. She made several allies, none more highly regarded than her half-brother and trusted advisor, Christian Tiona.

With the help of her friends and allies, Arabelle reclaimed her country and her throne. Once she had established her position as the rightful queen and Christian as her advisor, she joined the two rivalling houses Dakota and Tiona together, once and for all, by marrying Harrison Dakota, the son of the previous king. Together they rebuilt their country to the prosperous and rich land it is today.

On the side, she was working with Christian to rediscover the dragons. She recruited many helpers to search far and wide across the country to find out where they all went. The answer was hidden in a mountain by the sea, where a discoverer found what appeared to be a giant dragon nest; one that could hold hundreds of dragons. They came to the conclusion that the dragons rested there before spending a long time flying.

Queen Arabelle, King Harrison, and the Queen's Advisor, Christian, all made a long voyage across the sea to their neighbouring country, Altair, where they discovered that the dragon's had been living all this time. After arranging a meeting with the king, Mikhail, and his queen, Evangelina - Arabelle's sister - they made an agreement to bring a collection of dragons back to Tiona and revive their own population.

Many of the citizens of Tiona discovered they also held dragon rider blood within them, and soon the mighty country that had lived years ago was revived, with Arabelle leading the way to their glory.

In the history books, she is now known as Queen Arabelle, the true Dragon's Heir.
