You knew that working at a highly praised, fine dining restaurant in New York City was going to be brutal. You have to keep up and make sure that every plate you send out is close to perfection. You're a professional, however, you are human and some mistakes are bound to happen. Sadly instead of simply allowing you to fix it, your boss won't let anything go. He wanted to watch the fire in your eyes fizzle away until you're completely burnt out on doing the thing you love most. Every mistake was met with disapproving words that scald your sensitive heart, as if your emotions were being drenched in the hot oil of his hatred. Words like knives that cut into your confidence, and purposefully sliced you up into tiny pieces until you became unrecognizable. You're a talented chef, highly trained and incredibly hard working. Cooking used to bring you peace and make you happy, but your boss did everything he could to make you scared to do what you so passionately loved. Of course he fired you after he got what he wanted. Now all you can handle after is hiding away in the safety of your apartment. Not daring to step foot in the kitchen. You had lost hope on returning to the industry, but a phone call followed by an impromptu knock at the door momentarily brings you out of your darkness. You had given up on your passion in hopes to avoid slipping deeper into your depression, but when Tony Stark seeks you out and offers you a job there is no way he'd let you say no. Tony made a point to talk with the chef responsible for the food he enjoyed. He knows you. So after sending back a meal he didn't like, and hearing about your firing, he had come up with an idea. The Avengers needed a live-in chef, someone they could trust to help them out, and you needed your confidence back. You accept his offer, but you have your own requests. Nobody can be in the kitchen while you cook. Only it doesn't last long until a couple of curious super soldiers start ignoring your one request.
