-~~••~~-Kai let out a frustrated grunt as he tried once more to use Airjitzu, his body straining against the wind. "Seriously!" he growled, his voice tight with irritation as his feet slammed back to the ground. His face was contorted with frustration, his hands tightening into fists. With a huff, he tried again, launching himself into the air, but once more, he missed the flag.
Above him, Ronin leaned back on a nearby platform, his arms casually crossed as he observed the scene, a grin spreading across his face. "Aww, just short. Like your temper, Kai," he teased, his voice dripping with mock sympathy.
I shook my head, unimpressed by Ronin's constant jabs. With a confident smirk, I focused my energy and, in one smooth motion, used Airjitzu to glide effortlessly up to the platform beside him.
Landing gracefully, I looked at Ronin, my arms crossed, my stance confident. "Why are you here?" I asked, my voice even but edged with curiosity.
Ronin didn't even look up at first. His eyes remained fixed on the flag he was dangling just above Kai's head. "Because it seems you forgot something," he said, his grin widening as he finally met my gaze. "The ninja gave me everyone's shares of the Tea Shop."
I felt a flicker of irritation at the memory of that sneaky exchange. The way Ronin had slid in and taken my shares felt like a slap in the face, but I pushed the feeling aside. "Right," I muttered, rolling my eyes, not wanting to waste any more energy on him.
From below, Jay's voice rang out, overly confident. "Let me try. I'm for sure a better Airjitzuer than you, Kai!"
Kai shot him a sideways glance, his skepticism evident. "Oh, yeah? And when did that happen?"
Jay puffed out his chest, striking a dramatic pose. "Like, now!" he yelled, leaping into the air. But as he reached the peak of his jump, he missed the flag completely, flailing helplessly before crashing to the ground with a loud, comical yelp.
I couldn't suppress my laughter, shaking my head as I watched Jay's dramatic fall. "Nice one, Jay," I called down, teasing him without any real malice.
Ronin, ever the opportunist, raised an eyebrow at me, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Why aren't you grabbing that flag and showing these boys up?" he asked, his grin widening with amusement.
I glanced down at him with a shrug, unfazed. "They'll think I'm cheating with my wind powers, so what's the point?" I replied, lowering myself to sit casually next to Ronin, letting my legs dangle over the edge of the platform.
Ronin's grin only grew, as he pointed to Jay, who was still attempting to gather himself. "That wasn't Airjitzu. That was Failitzu," he said, clearly enjoying the chaos.
Kai snorted, his arms folded across his chest. "Or Stupiditzu."
I raised an eyebrow, my lips curling into a smirk. "You guys sure are creative," I said dryly, though there was a hint of amusement in my tone.
Sensei Wu, having observed the entire exchange, finally spoke up, his voice calm but firm. "To master the powers of Airjitzu, we must uplift, not put each other down, Ronin."
Ronin, ever unbothered by criticism, simply bit into his apple, looking at Sensei Wu with a nonchalant expression. "You close shop for a week, you've gotta let me have some fun. Aren't Nindroids supposed to be precise?" he quipped, clearly enjoying the chaos around him.
