"Sierra?" I called her name as I went down from the second floor. I look over the people and noticed her happily chit-chatting with her sibling. I couldn't find the courage to disrupt her knowing that it'll be the last day of her visit before she could work her ass back in the mansion.

So what I did was waltz back to the bartender and ordered myself a drink. The bartender earlier smiled at me, serving me a drink with a smile on his lips.

I ignored him and put my head into working. Where could I find someone who can help me train so that I can protect myself? Where can I find female knights? Are there any female knights? Now I'm beginning to question my thoughts.

"It looks like I've met you again." A voice disturbed my peace, making me lost at my inner thoughts. I turned my head and noticed that it was the same person whom I met—well, I didn't met him but bumped into him along the way.

"Are you following me again?" I asked, my brows furrowed as I recognized the man who just smirked at me. He had a black hair, yet his eyes were gold. Hm, golden eyes, fascinating.

"What an assuming lady you are." He chuckled, leaning his head on his hand, placed on top of the table. "I am not here because I followed you or something, I am here to drink." He added, calling the attention of the bartender and ordered his drink.

Somehow, that made me flustered and avoided his gaze on me. God, the embarrassment I had experienced today is immeasurable. Can't God gave me some face?

"You look somewhat troubled." He opened up. My face might have shown some distortion in my expression, hence why he suddenly called me out. I am in trouble, I do not know whether the killer will strike me again or not.

"You'll laugh at me if I said the reason." I blurted out. Men in this era looks down on females a lot so he'll be no different from the men back in the mansion. Greedy son of piglins who's egos are too frail if women exceeds their potentials.

"Why would I?" He answered with a question as he took a sip from his drink. "Do tell, what is it that you're agonizing at?" He was really curious as to why I am like this. Might as well tell this guy since no one wants to hear me.

At least this one is willing.

"Well, last night, I got attacked. Someone entered my room to kill me which did not end up well because I ran towards the bathroom before he could plot my death. I tried telling the Duke about this, even his son, my brother, but they laughed at me. They must be thinking that I'm seeking attention from them. I also asked, no I was begging for them to teach me self defense but they laugh saying women aren't suitable to wield weapons." I chuckled.

Hatred was evident in my voice as I unconsciously gripped my glass, it wasn't enough to make it crack but I was definetly mad about it. Just by thinking about it, I couldn't help but to fume mad even more.

I waited for the laugh, for the derogatory words that will come out of his mouth, just like everyone else but he was silent. I slowly looked at him, casting my eyes on his but he was silent, looking at me in shocked.

"And they didn't helped you at all? What kind of family is that?" He asked, his brows started to furrow, annoyed with what I told him. "Are there no increase in security?" He added and I shook my head, the security was still the same.

"What in the world is the Duke thinking? You, a future Queen is endangered yet he does nothing?" He inhaled, he too was angry upon hearing my words. For the first time, I felt heard and wasn't misjudged for who Felicia was in this damn twisted novel.

"I'm looking for a knight that can help me learn how to defend myself. Or else, I'd be dead." I sighed, shaking my head. "I can help you." He said, his face serious with his aid to help me.

"You will? But I don't know you." I responded, skeptical with him helping me. But hey, he's helping me about my problem so I should probably agree, right?

"Im Elias. You don't need to introduce yourself to me, I know you already, the first daughter of the house Del Montague. Such an honor, actually." The man who introduced himself as Elias said while pointing out of my hood that I forgot to cover myself.

Shit, that was very careless! i immediately wore my cloak, forgetting the fact that I have come here undercovered. My ego must have forgotten my mission here after flexing with the Nexus' guildmaster. Way to go, Felicia, way to go.

"When should we start and when are you free?" I asked him. "I am only free during evenings and I can start tomorrow." I said to him. There's no time for idle, I need to learn fast.

"Then tomorrow it is, around 10 in the evening till 3 in the morning. I hope you can pull it off." He said, drinking his alcohol till the last drop before standing up. "I'll come visit your mansion and don't worry, you can meet me at the training grounds of your manor." He said, smiling at me.

"Wait!" I called. "I don't have anything to wear." I said, referring to their manly outfits. He chuckled as he stood up, "It's on me. Now you should go, your servant is looking for you." He replied, making me look away from him.

"But Sierra's not here yet..." I mentioned as I turned to face him, only to discover that he was gone, just like that. It gives me the chill that creeps so I stood up and left the zone, walking my way towards Sierra and her sibling.

Sierra spotted me and immediately hugged her sibling, saying her good bye before storming up to me. "Did you had fun?" I asked as I turned around, walking out of this tavern.

"Yes, your ladyship. Thank you so much for allowing me to visit her." She thanked me, grateful for what I did even though it was a package for helping me sought out the guild. But I didn't say anything and just walked with her, back to the main road.

That Elias guy said he'll help me. He also looks like a warrior to me since he had this belt attached with a sword. He also looks rugged yet handsome. I wish he wouldn't go back to his words and leave me. I have high hopes that I'll finally learn how defend myself. So please God, if you hear me, let me learn.

THIRD PERSON

"What was that?" Someone asked as Elias went inside the room where Felicia was earlier. The man who called Elias was the mask man from earlier, playing chess by himself. The man named Elias smirked, sitting on the chair provided for guest before lighting up his cigarette on his hand.

"You seemed shock that she visited the tavern, Liam." Elias called the man with the mask Liam. He puffed out the smoke, staring at the man who slowly removed his mask, revealing his identity towards the Elias.

"I could say the same to you, your highness, the second prince." Liam called, his voice filled with irritation yet smug. "Welcome back, I thought you'd be dead after what the queen set you up." Liam smiled towards his ally.

Turns out, Elias is the second prince of this nation, whereas the man controlling the Nexus Guild is Liam, the young Marquis who's father is the prime minister of the current king.

"Almost. That woman thought she could kill me in that battlefield for her son's ambitions." He mumbled as he puffed out another smoke. "Too bad, I'm not dying." He laughs, sinister and dark.

"Hah, if only my father figured that I support you, I would have been punished heavily but so much for that, what do you need from Felicia?" Liam asked, his eyebrow raised as curiosity got him. Liam finds her fascinating, especially because she has changed into a better person.

"Nothing, I find her interesting." Elias admitted, looking directly in the ceiling as he smoke. "Can you believe that a person can change over night? Like some sort of magic?" Elias added, questioning Liam who has the same thought.

"I am quite smitten with her." Liam chuckled, playing chess that was set on his table. "A woman who knows how to read a person is such a precious little gem, don't you think so too, your highness?"

It made Elias felt a bit annoyed with his remark but he disregarded it as he thought it meant nothing. "She is." Elias replied, staring blankly at the ceiling. He wanted more of her, so much more.
