Estella [ On Hold ]

Leonardo's POV

Dad motions us all to follow him to his home office when we're done with our dinner and I've escorted eatella to her room

When we all enter the room the chaos erupts

" what the fuck is happening? You told us estella is dead 12 years ago" Rhysand questions as soon the door is close

He is practically shaking with anger currently. And knowing that he has been controlling his anger issues well for past few months his reaction is definitely not a good sign and probably surprising them with their long lost sister was probably not the best

I know Noah has similar emotions but he's keeping it under control probably because of Liam. Their twin syncing is pretty good

"Let's sit down first and Leonardo will explain " Dad speak calmly motioning us all to sit on the sofa present in the office

When everyone had settled I begin to explain them
" I received a call from Ohio yesterday regarding estella. Because her foster parents had died recently and their new protocol included running a blood test to find possible family members they were able to contact us. And before you ask yes I've done the DNA test again to remove any suspicions "

Everyone in the room has mixed expressions which was expected.  Because what do you expect them to feel  when we all had accepted her death years ago and now she was alive and we were unable to ever find her

" So you mean to say she's been alive all along and we failed ? " Cyrus ask his voice breaking

I nod. Because not only we failed to protect her we even failed to find her and shield her from the cruel world.  We all know all bad foster system can be to some kids . And though I wish nothing more that eststella had a good childhood I can't deny the fact that she must suffered if her bare minimum luggage was any indication.

And everyone in the room probably feels the same. Though they did not witness her ragged backpack they've seen her clothes and shoes which were definitely counting their days

" how were we not able to locate her for all those years ?" Liam asked with frustration which I am sure everyone is feeling

How did we with every resource failed to locate her ?

" I looked into it and it seems Violet not only faked our stars death perfectly but had some Intel in out people which prevented us from finding estella for so long " I answer remembering how much disgust and hat I felt for that women when I realized till how much extent had she gone to make out life miserable

" Have you found the traitors " Dad asked in a cold voice filled with the need of vengeance

" Yes...they've already been captured and locked in out warehouse "

Dad nod and everyone in the room looks ready to torture them for all the time we've been away from estella because if their betrayal

" That's okay we'll pay them for their betrayal later but for now let's focus on making estella comfortable. Noah and Liam you'll take her shopping tomorrow for everything she could ever need and if she's not comfortable going out , order everything online. I'll look into the online school stuff as it's the first thing she has asked for " Dad speak and twins nod probably already thinking of all possible ways to spoil their sister

" how can you just accept her like nothing happened? " Rhysand asks incredulously

Dad gets annoyed at him " I know it's hard to digest everything that's happening but I'll advice you to be cooperative and not make your sister uncomfortable "

"So what ? Are we all just gonna play happy family now ? Because she somehow miraculously turned out to be alive ? What is -" he is cut off by Cyrus grabbing his collar

" Listen I know it all seems impossible , but now that we have found estella I expect you to be cooperative and let everyone also enjoy the happiness "
Cyrus push him and back off

"Fine you all are free to play happy family all you want" rhysand shout and leave the room banging the door

We all know it's not an easy transition for anyone but Rhysand took the hardest hit when everything happened and it took him years of therapy to be normal. He was not young as the twins or enough mature like me or Cyrus to understand everything back then.
So even though we all understand where he is coming from i can't let estella suffer because of his anger because he tends to be pretty mean and cruel on his bad days

" For now try to keep rhysand away from estella. I'll ask him to attend some therapy sessions first to help him handle the situation properly " Everyone nods at the suggestion

We all discuss few details more and depart to our rooms

Before going to my room My feet automatically take me to take estella's room

When I open her room's door I find her sleeping peacefully

How long have I longed to see her?
How long have I wished nothing more than to tuck her to bed like I used to do when she was younger

And now that my wishes have come true , I will everything in my power to protect her

I carefully remove hair strands from her forehead and bend down  to give her a forehead kiss

" Sleep well little star. I love you "
