Carlos lay on his bed, gazing at the portrait Emily had painted. He really didn't want to go through with this plan now. He knows it's for his parents but... He imagined the look of shock and betrayal on Emily's face, and the thought filled him with a sense of dread. It seemed like all the happiness he had found was about to be snatched away, especially with the looming prospect of returning to the Isle. When the villains would wreak havoc and loot kingdoms, he feared he would never be able to be there for Emily from the danger. His chain of thoughts was abruptly interrupted by a series of messages that popped up on his phone, pulling him back to reality.
