"Amal, let's go! What are you waiting for?"

She heard one of her friends calling her as she was about to jump through the window.

"Shhh!" she shushed them, placing a finger on her lips. Carefully, she climbed down from the window with the help of a rope.

"Do you guys want my parents to catch us?" she whispered fiercely, checking her not-so-expensive watch.

"No... sorry! Now let's go; it's already 1:30. The party starts at 2 AM," one of her friends said. All of them hurried to the club where the party was arranged.

As they entered the club, Amal was greeted by a tight hug.

"Yeah! Jack, I can't breathe," Amal said, giggling  as he let her go.

"Damn, Amal, you look so hot in this!"

Jack said while staring at her from head to toe

Jack said while staring at her from head to toe. Amal smirked and said, "Am I? Well, thank you, but I guess Elaa is looking more beautiful."

She smirked at the girl standing just behind Jack.

He smiled and said, "Nah, no one can compete with your beauty. You are a living goddess."

She laughed, shaking her head. "By the way, happy birthday. I guess I already gave you a good birthday gift."

"Gift? When? Where? You didn't give me anything yet," Jack asked, confused.

Amal laughed. "I did. Just turn around and enjoy your gift while I enjoy the party."

As she finished her sentence, Jack turned around to see his girlfriend Elaa standing there, shooting glares at him. His mouth hung open, and he was about to say something when she turned on her heel and left.

"See? I told you I gave you your best birthday gift. Now enjoy," Amal said, laughing. Jack was mentally crying as he watched her, then ran after his girlfriend.

"Why did you do this to him? Doesn't he truly love her? Now she might break up with him," her best friend Aria said, her voice tinged with concern.

Turning towards Aria, Amal looked at her with a dismissive expression. "That’s nonsense. If he truly loved her, he wouldn't have found me more attractive than his own girlfriend," she replied, rolling her eyes.

Aria sighed, knowing all too well that her best friend had no faith in love. For Amal, love was nothing but lust disguised as something meaningful.

After that, Amal headed to the bar counter and asked for a drink. The bartender handed her a whisky, which she gladly accepted and drank in one go, feeling the burn as it went down.

By 5:30 AM, Amal was dead drunk. She looked around her, seeing friends sprawled out on the floor, couches, and wherever they could find space. She sighed, feeling a mix of exhaustion and frustration, and stumbled to her feet.
