After i got to "my apartment", it was weird that The Commander hadn't come to lecture me about my behaviour, and to be honest everything was weird. When i was with him i felt comfortable no matter what we were doing and i never felt alone arund him, but now, when i'm alone my old self comes out, the old boring me, the monster, the killing machine.
And there i was in a staring consent with the wall. I was just sitting on my sofa and staring at the grey wall for some time but then i decided to explore this place, that dosen't feal mine.
I had a pretty big bedroom, the kitchen and bathroom were nice. I already knew were was everything since His apartment is the same but his had one more room, that i hadn't been in.
After i eated i went to shower and got dressed and went to sleep.
I woke up at 8AM, i couldn't sleep more than that so i maked some breakfeast for myself.
As i was finishing my breakfeast i was thinking of visiting Cayden , but eventually i didn't because when i opened my door someone else was there
"Going somewhere, Nikolai?" The sweet voice asked me as i looked at its direction.
When i looked at the woman i almost sreamed from the happiness that i felt when i saw my friend, who i been with on missions for 5 years.
"Kaia! What are you doing here"i pulled her into the apartment
"I'm checking on you" she says in a worried voice
"I'm okay""How are the others?" I ask as we sit down
"Kie is fine but she misses you, Rando got shot, and Amari is on a misssion with Mang"She says with a sigh before she continues to speak
"I though that they were keeping you in a cell, but you are here in this big ass apartment"
"Yea, but i only been here for some time, in the first months i was tortured, pretty badly"
I say as she pulls me in for a hug, and i needed that so i just let myself to melt into her arms
"Your going to escape right?" She askes as i sigh
"I want but i meet this guy and i really don't wanna leave him here. But i just need some time to figure it out"
She sighes as she opens her mouth to speak
"Figure it out, quickly cause we miss you"
She says as she hands me a phone and hugs me
"Incase you neeed us, Lead" I smile at the nickname, i don't like it much but i let that one slip.
After Kaia left i didn't do much,
Until i heard a knock on my door.
I went to open the door and as i looked down i saw The Commander's friend
"Hey, Zara" "Hi, Sergey"She says as i nodd at her to contiune her speech, because i know that she is not here for some tea.
"The General wants go talk to you, but don't worry your not in trouble" she standed out of my way so i could walk with her
"No, handcuffs?"I ask as she laughs one
"For you, for now, no , but for Cayden, last night, yes" She says as we both start laughing together

Don't get attached, Nik. Fuck why iam using the nickname He gave to me??

We got to the General's office and she pointed inside so i headed into the room

"Good morning, Nikolai"The General says as he points to the chair
"Good morning" I say as i sit down
"I would like you on my team. I'm not saying that you should betray the Emperor, i'm just offering a peace offer, for you to help our side out a little" He says but he sees that i'm not impressed
"What would i get?" I ask
"Fredom, i know that the Emperor didn't give you much"
"Why would i betray my leader who raised me?" I ask from him as someone enters
"I know that he is like your dad for you, but this wouldn't be betraying him, he wouldn't know about it" He says as i look to my left, only to see Him.
"You would be working with Commander Cameron" He says as he puts his hand on his shoulder
"Think about it, Let me know if you made your choice"
I nodd as i stand up and turn to leave and he followed me
"I didn't know that tbe Emperor raised you" he said while catching up to me
"He did" i said quickly because i didn't wanted to talk about it
"Do you have some time?" He asks
"For what?" "Helping me out with some informations"
"Sure, but i don't promise that i will answer for everything" I say as he nodds playfully
He opens the door for me and i sit down, so does he, and we start talking.
"Who is Kaia Embrosie?" He asks from me and my heart starts racing as her name comes up

Do they know about her being her??
Did they caught her??

"Why?" I ask from The Commander as he slips pics of me and her on our mission from a year ago, a pic from 2 years ago ,and one from 3years.
"They call you the Death duo"he says as i look at the pictures
"I think you now why" I say with a small laugh as he smiles at me
"When was your first mission with her? About 2 years ago right?" He asks and i laugh as i answer
"Lets make that 4 years" I say with a smirk
"Wow" he says in a suprised voice
"Yes, i was 15, when i was on my first mission with her" I say but he just sits there, with a suprised face .

Those eyes...

"They allowed you out on a mission alone with an another child?"he asks as he puts his hand up on the table
"Yes, i was ready, she was ready too, so nothing could stop us" I say as he nodds
"Next question?" I asks but he just looks me inthe eye and asks
"Thank you" He says and i just nodd at him because i don't know what he is thankfull for.
He clears his troath and asks his next question for me.
"Where were you on June 9th, last year?"
"I was on a side mission "
"Did that mission include any bombs?"
"No" i answer as he slips his notebook to the last page
"One last question, do you know that what is The Resistance?" As he asks my heart starts racing again, but i made sure that he couldn't tell about it

"I won't answer that one"
"Okay"He says as he slips a picture to my side of the table.
I take a good look at it , its a big building and with purple colored letters on it, it spells out:

I wanted to smile so badly but that would have been pretty obvious so i just shook my head
