Should this be x reader? I kind of want to because 1) it's what i'm most used to writing nd it's frustrating to write in the pov of a man sigh & 2) i want to show off the fact that the school is no longer all boys (since it was only relevant in the og due to the nature of the club and junk which has been changed), but i don't want to change any of the main-ish chars gender cuzzzzz it feels weird. actually i might just make one of the ghosts a relatable character and that's it IDKKKK

my fix it fic of yarichin bitch club where, instead of the plot twist being that the photography club is full of tool sheds, it is full of crazy goths who swear ghosts are real and are trying to catch them on film.

coming from someone whose only exposure is unfinished wiki pages and fanfiction to make myself well-versed enough to know that the premise of it disgusts me. we're doing a complete overhaul here. also, basing what i know off of wiki pages and fanfics, the backstory and sexuality of the characters may (most likely) be going through changes - also since romance will be overall irrelevant to the story i am telling

First off, from my understanding:

papa smurf or tamura, whatever his name is, apparently had his "awakening" when he was gang raped by men for not wanting to have sex with any men. so, i will not be feeding into that idea because 1) when it is done incorrectly it gives people the wrong idea about victims (such as in the source material itself) 2) it is a heavy topic to cover especially in something like this which i am trying to "infantilize" and 3) there won't be any people to gang rape him since i am doing an entire club culture overhaul.
^^however, i will not be making him say homophobic things as it allegedly was in the source material because it's completely unnecessary and THERE WON'T BE TONS OF PAY GORN sigh. (he apparently would call them disgusting for having sex with other men)

controversially i guess, his sexuality is going to be completely up to the reader. if you want to imagine that he is still bisexual, go ahead, but just remember the implications of it when you do. you can interpret him as being straight/hetero here, but at this point, i can't imagine myself writing him into a relationship anyway.

actually... not to spoil too much... but dating a ghost would definitely be within the boundaries of the new club's aesthetic. 

Next,

this school is going to be integrated. if you don't know what that means, it's the opposite of an all boy/girl school. the entire appeal of the club in the first place was apparently because they had no girls to sleep with because (for some reason) the school was on the north sentinel island or something and they couldn't leave

as you can tell, anything relating to sex or used as a reason for why there is so much sex is basically getting scrapped entirely. its not necessary for the new story.

Does that mean that gay characters will have relationships with women?

no? i could do that, but that's too picky-choosy and weird to say "they found the right person <3" or something like that. i'll let it be the same as the tamura situation: it is up for the reader's interpretation if the characters were gay or not prior to coming to the school and if they want to imagine them as being that way in this story. i won't stop you for thinking in whichever way you choose because... yk... i can't.

 i mean, there won't be any relationships as the highlight of the story anyway. actually, at that, relationships which were canon before toono (is that his name?) came to the school will remain canon. basically, only akemi and that other blonde guy. itome i think?

any other relationships are basically nothing. i might include that stalker guy but definitely not as a stalker. he will probably have an overhaul in every way. like, completely new character overhaul. i might genderswap his ugly ass too idk yet

this is going to be family-friendly aside from some swearing and occasional raunchy humor. i'd say it's 13+

'yaba', for anyone curious, is a shortened version of 'yabai'. it directly means 'dangerous', but is used in slang more like 'wicked' in the english world. it can be bad ("what a wicked bitch!") or good ("that's wicked!") it is typically shortened to 'yaba' by men, hence why i chose to shorten it

this is more like an assortment of one-shots rather than a coherent plot... but that's basically the og anyway: no plot. the first one will be establishing a concept though.

if anyone wants to build off of my idea, i completely condone it - you don't have to ask if you can do it beforehand (my answer will be "yes" anyway), just tag me (can you tag on wattpad?) or mention my name in the work so that i can find it. i'd really like to see where this idea goes if you want to make your own instead of requesting a 1shot bc i'm just a girl and cannot write every living breathing second of every day

okay, one more thing: while i find the source material crazy weird, i'm not taking this as an opportunity to attack the people who like ybc. i'm not an asshole and i don't condone harassment, even if i think you are weird for liking what it was originally. so, therefore, if you're a fan, i don't want you to take this as an opportunity to disrespect me either, okay? okay, cool.
