Chapter 41 - Punk and Jazz

"I suggest we both stop doing things to wind one another up then." You teased. "I wouldn't call it 'winding up,' Evangeline." Harvey said somewhat blankly. Your playful banter took a more serious turn as Harvey's gaze lingered on your legs, a hint of desire flickering in his eyes.

Without a word, he closed the distance between you, his movements deliberate and purposeful.

In an instant, his hands found their way to your waist, pulling you close to him with an urgency that mirrored your own desire. The heat of his body radiated against your skin, sending a pulse of lust through your body. Your heart raced as his lips met yours in a hungry kiss, igniting a temporarily dormant fire.

With a growl, Harvey flipped you effortlessly so you were beneath him. As his hands roamed over your skin, you felt yourself surrendering completely to the intoxicating rhythm of his touch. Lost in the heat of the moment, you tangled your fingers in his damp hair, your lips meeting frantically. Before you knew it, his towel was on the floor alongside your dress, your bra and underwear.

Harvey's breath was hot against your skin as he whispered your name over and over like a prayer, his movements becoming more urgent with each passing second. You arched into him and his motion. It was just as electric and passionate as every other time you had gotten intimate.

As the intensity of your passion reached its peak, you lost yourself in the sensation of him, your body reaching a newfound euphoria. You couldn't help but moan his name in his ear and he clearly felt the same, doing the same to you.

Harvey collapsed on top of your body, his hand stroking your hair as he panted, trying to regain composure. He planted a gentle kiss on your forehead. Wrapped in his arms, you felt your body ease. The world fell away.

"You are incredible..." He whispered, moving to lay beside you. "And you're not so bad yourself," you replied with a playful smile, your voice barely above a whisper. As he settled beside you, you intertwined your fingers with his, leaning your head against his shoulder. You felt a warmth consume you as you led quietly with one another.

A few moments had passed. You felt it was an appropriate time to ask him your many questions from the day.

"How are you feeling?" You asked gently, your head now on his chest. Stroking your hair, he paused, "I'm feeling somewhat okay, if you're referring to my parents." He seemed to be relieved that the day had gone so smoothly. You were both used to the worst happening in the scenarios you found yourself in, yet not this time.

"Thats good to know, I think it went well." You added. You could feel the tension that had built up throughout the day slowly dissipating, replaced by a sense of peace and contentment. "Yes, surprisingly well," Harvey agreed, his voice soft and soothing. "Your conversation was great." He smiled, kissing you on the forehead gently. "I'm glad you think so, I tried my best."

"I'm just glad it's over," he admitted, snuggling you closer to him. "Now we can focus on us." Harvey placed another tender kiss to the top of your head, his arms tightening around you in a protective embrace. "That's all I want," he murmured, his voice laced with sincerity. You let out a tired moan of agreement, feeling your eyes fall heavy.

You awoke, the curtains still wide open. Harvey had wrapped you in his embrace, spooning you. It was a peaceful moment, one where the worries of the previous day seemed distant and insignificant. You could feel the warmth of the summer sun already as it beamed through the window.

As you laid peacefully, you tried to comprehend how far you had come, but you simply couldn't. Two years ago you found yourself in the same city, unhappy and chained down. Now you found yourself in the same city, but only temporarily, and in the arms of a man who truly loved you this time.
