The night sky was painted just like every other, dark blues fluidly mixed with hues of black and purple. The stars were sprinkled throughout, fighting to shine through the smog that had accumulated from bustling automobiles and restless city life. She sat perched on her bed, peering out of her window. Her legs were criss-crossed meanwhile a book lay in between her bent knees. She was reading a book about horoscopes, which had recently peeked her interest upon discovering the uncanny accuracy she believed they held.

On any other regular day, she might have brushed off the fore-telling of her love life and such by a horoscope, but lately they had been almost terrifyingly accurate and she began to believe they were real, as though it were magic.
