A Warbler's Tune

A greyish, yellow warbler with wounded wing

Grounded unexpectedly

Despite its hardship, continues to sing

And sing quite beautifully, I might add

It longs to take to sky

Joining with fellow yellowish wing friends

To sing a beautiful melody

I could not distinguish if it's song was happy or sad

I felt like it was a tune of gladness, I know I felt glad

More warblers of all sorts of color flew down

They join in this soulful sounding tune

And soon after, if you believe

All the warblers took to the sky

Including my friend with wounded wing

Could it have been a song of praise

Touching the hem of Jesus' garment because of faith

Or maybe this tune pleased the heart of God

And He touched the warbler's wing

To let it once again take to the sky

So that all the earth could hear

When grace sings a soulful song
