The pain eats away

At the small lump of coal that was once my heart

And when I met you

That pain was set to flame

And the flames grew in my chest

Brought me back to life

Then a hurricane swept you away

And put out my flame.

Now I sit here

All wet with tears

That drip down my face

And create a sea of deppresion

The waves just as gray as my eyes

Wash over me

But they do not drown me

Only I drown me

I could easly float to shore

But there is an anchor of the thought,

Of you coming back to save me.

You are the anchor that keeps me stuck there.

Now I just need to cut the rope.
