Red- Deads Have Brains

The young doctor quietly entered into the elevator,
Thinking about telling the patient's relative later,
Second time in a week his operation was a fail,
The thought of the consequences made his face pale.

He thought about the circumstances that led,
to touch the band in his pocket, bright red,
In the policies of the hospital he had read,
to tie the band on the hands of the patients dead.

He looked down and sighed,
He lost count of the patients that had died,
When the doors of the elevator opened with a flair,
and came in the cold, windy air.

He looked up to see who it was,
hoping to see some kind of a nurse,
But as he saw, all his senses were gone,
It was the most beautiful woman, he had ever laid his eyes upon.

The woman greeted him with a kind smile,
The brightest one, he had seen in a while,
Blonde hair, perfect curves and blue eyes,
She was strangely familiar, a fact that lies.

The blue eyes stared into his orbs, brown,
It was a blue sea in her eyes, in which he could drown,
Within a moment, he started to talk,
Her eyes pried his face, like a hawk.

He laughed nervously, "What a shame!
Mademoiselle, I don't even know your name!"
The woman shifted and stood beside him,
"Nice to meet you, I am Kim."

"Kim! A lovely name, for a lovely lady like you!
May I ask you, where you are going up to?"
"Floor number nine,
if you could just press it, that'll be fine."

At this point, he had forgotten his worry,
He even forgot that he was in a hurry,
He pressed the button like Kim said,
her smile kept replaying inside his head.

"So you're a doctor?" she raised her brow,
"Ah yes, I am!" he fixed his bow,
He tried to look good for her,
"Excuse me, can I ask you something sir?"

She had hopeful and big eyes,
Those orbs had broken all the ties,
He kindly said, "Ofcourse you can tell!"
She asked, "Does my name ring a bell?"

'Strange' was the word he could find,
How did she know, what was in his mind?
"I really don't remember, why do you ask?"
The woman looked hurt, as if she was unable to do her task.

"No, it's just that Kim is a popular name,
which gives some people unwanted fame,
It's okay, I know you didn't lie,
Besides, hundreds of Kim, each day die."

"My! My! Doll, you just aren't broke!"
The doctor was shocked at the words she spoke,
He wanted to know all about her history,
so beautiful, yet such a mystery!

"Let me introduce myself, I am Doctor Dylan Carlyle."
She smirked and said," I knew that anyway."
How does she know? This woman wasn't fine!
But then the elevator halted at level nine.

She said," Doctor Carlyle, good to see you."
"The pleasure has been mine." He cooed.
They shook hands before she left him,
How he wished, he could see more of Kim.

But just then he realised she had slipped something into his hand,
He was aghast to see it was a band,
The same one which was tied on the hands of the dead,
There it was shining, a bloody, bright, brilliant red.
