A suffocating silence I couldn't take
They say break the silence
When you can
But they never explain how to
With no one else to talk to
When we were us
You came with the scars from your past

You already knew we weren't gonna last
You came with your scars
Made by words from someone you used to kiss
You left with a skin of stars
Made by words from someone you used to miss
I gave you more than my word
You gave me silence
A deafening silence I couldn't fake
I gave you my heart
When you left me
My heart in pieces
Was all I could see
The funny thing is
The heart you stole
Came back broken
