The moon that came before me stands in all his glory,
but soon the sun will rise the beginning of a new day and the moon with no choice will run away.
Down to the empty abyss waiting for sundowns kiss.
They could never be together no matter how much they care,
they only see a fleeting glance for that is all they dare.
The rage of the sun would destroy the moon if she found out about him and her daughter so soon.
They could never be together for he a shadow of the night and she a lady of the day.
And so they go on each time every day never loosing hope never going grey
for one day he could be king of the night and she
queen of the day.
