I rested, and I was alone.

Then I woke, and you were there.

Then I ran, and you ran with me.

I ran further, and then you fell and ran no more.

You stopped and ran no more.

I ran and thought no more.

Then I swam, and you swam with me.

You swam further, and then I chose to swim no more.

I stopped and swam no more.

You swam and thought no more.

Then I sat, but you did not sit with me.

I bound chains and sat in shadow, but you would not be chained.

You lay down and were not bound.

I sat and went no more.

Then you flew, but I did not fly with you.

You grew wings and flew far away, but I had no wings to fly.

I lay down and did not fly.

You flew and stopped no more.

Then you departed, while I stayed.

I fell in the dark, but you rose in the light.

You rose and fell no more.

I fell and rose no more.

Then you sang, while I was silent.

You sang the sun, but I gazed the moon.

I gazed and did not sing.

You sang and gazed no more.

I rested, and you were there.

Then I woke, and I was alone.
