Lights on.

Time for work again. I watch Manager walk in with a few other staff. He shakes his head as he mumbles something to the staff and points at one of the aisles. One employee dashes into the storage room and returns with balloons to put in the aisle. It becomes identical to the rest. Manager walks away with a sigh and the staff rush to their positions. The show is about to start.

People start coming in the store. Early in the morning:
Elders or young adults passing by on their morning walk or jog.
Morning:
A mother rushes in and out with a toddler, possibly buying her child breakfast at the last minute before rushing off to work.
Afternoon:
Students from the nearby high school come to buy lunch and snacks. They stay a while, chattering loudly, and then they leave.
Evening:
Middle-aged people buy groceries.
Night:
A few more young adults enter laughing, buy snacks and alcohol, and then they leave.

It is quiet. Looks like it's almost time to close. The staff leave in their winter jackets one by one. Manager takes one last walk around the store, checking everything. Then,

Lights out.
End of play.
