Jessica Khoury

I wrote my first "book" at age 4, a fan fiction sequel to Syd Hoff's Danny and the Dinosaur, which I scribbled on notebook paper, stapled together, and placed on the bookshelf of my preschool classroom. Since that day, I've dreamed of being an author. That dream came true in 2012, when my first novel ORIGIN hit bookstores all over the world.
 
I currently live in Greenville, South Carolina, with my husband, two terrible dogs, and an abundance of books, shoes, and sweet tea. When not writing, I love traveling the world, playing/watching/coaching soccer (FCBarcelona!) , and playing video games (Skyrim!)

My first novel, ORIGIN, was published by Penguin/Razorbill in September 2012. It tells the story of Pia, a girl with genetically engineered immortality who has been raised in a secret lab deep in the Amazon rainforest. VITRO and KALAHARI are the companion novels to ORIGIN, and together they make up the Corpus Trilogy. (The Corpus Trilogy can be read in any order--this isn't a series, but rather a set of standalone novels set in the same universe!)

THE FORBIDDEN WISH comes out February 2016, and is my first fantasy. It's a retelling of Aladdin with one little twist: What if the genie were a girl?
