Haris follows closely behind until we reach the main entrance of the building. We stand behind the glass doors and stare in shock at the new world that we are now forced to call our own. The trees, which had once been green with life, are now dull, drained of color as if an illness has taken over. The grass is now dry and yellow, like the winter season had come early this year. In the distance, I could hear car alarms going off and people honking at each other. Further down the hill, cars collide together to form a massive build-up of at least 20 vehicles with a raging fire caused by the spilt gasoline. I look at Haris with tears threatening to spill from my eyes, "How are we gonna get home?" "I don't know," he truthfully answers while gripping my hand. I knew a war was eventually going to happen, but I never pictured it coming so soon. --- Cover by @divinare HIGHEST RANKING: #60

The write-up covers challenges faced by young African girls. The likes of child marriages, trafficking and forced labor. Thus bringing us to making Africa seem like one nation (United State of Africa), whilst countries in Africa were addressed as regions, all under one president. This is to help lay emphasis on the fact that those challenges are not only particular to just one country but the whole of Africa. We also picked Amina - the major character that represents everyone of those young girls out there dying in silence. Co-writer: Tiyamike Phiri (Zambia) ********** One girl carri water © 2016 All rights reserved. This book is a work of fiction. Names, characters, and incidents either are the products of author's imagination or are used fictitiously. Except places such as regions, states, and countries in Africa, Aso Rock Villa which is the seat of presidency in Nigeria, Royal Livingstone hotel and Victoria Falls, etc. These locations have been mentioned only to add a bit of reality to the story. ********** ********** Our hearts goes out to relatives of victims of the Nyanya motor park bomb blast, parents of the abducted Chibok school girls and others alike. We pray for you

This is a writing challenge as much as it is a story. I am trying to write a 300-words-a-day story, and publishing each 'episode' daily. I am working on the honour system of not preparing any episodes ahead of time, and just enjoying where it's going. The Space Between is the story of a man who's lost everything, and a woman who's trying to save the world. I have been publishing the episodes on my blog for a week-and-a-half, so there will be an initial surge of episodes, but then Wattpad will be caught up and will go to the daily schedule. Thanks for reading!

Things have changed since Kyle Donovan was a kid. When you happen to be a famous rockstar, what you ate for breakfast has already been broadcast to the world before you've even had a chance to digest it. The hashtag gangs own Twitter and the fans have all the power. And now, unfortunately for Kyle he's trapped in a lift with one and the lights have gone out. I'm your biggest fan.......
