Hi there, and thanks for stopping by!

I'm Lou, a hopeless romantic with a soft spot for a bad boy, or an unassuming hero who saves the day, and I like to scribble my ideas down and let others read it for their enjoyment (or torture depending on how you look at it).

My love of books and writing stems from school days where I would write poetry, and then studying English in all its forms at degree level - literature, language & creative writing. After graduation things kind of went a bit wonky. The writing got mothballed, a career happened, and life in general just got in the way.

It was after having my first child that I discovered fan-fiction, largely because statutory maternity pay is not enough sustain a weekly book fetish and I needed an economical reading source that was easily accessible. There are some amazing authors out there who share their words with people though this medium and it's been an absolute pleasure to read them. It was through fan-fiction that I stumbled across a particular writer who went on to be a global success, and through our interactions when her story was still being shaped & posted online, I found the courage to go back to writing, and ultimately put my own words out into the ether.

Now as a mother of two, I love losing myself in my characters, but in doing so, I've developed an obnoxious Costa Coffee habit (it helps me write...honest!), a phobia of ironing (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it), and I'm also a recovering chocoholic (I've been on the wagon (wheel) for almost 6 weeks!).

I suppose this is the bit where I'm supposed to dazzle you with my wit and writing prowess, but let's be honest, you're either going to think what I write is wonderful, or utter trash. I'm not going to try to influence you're views either way, but I hope you get some enjoyment from my words.

Much love,

Lou xx
