'Blood is thicker than water.' A phrase that has been past around throughout the ages, reminding us that familial bonds will always be stronger than the bonds of friendship and dare I say, love. A phrase that was also misquoted. 'The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." The correct phrase, stating that the family we choose is more important than the relatives you are bound to by the water of the womb. The bonds we choose for ourselves could be more valuable to us than the ones we didn't get a say in. The line between love and hate is fine, but the line between blood and water maybe even finer. For family doesn't always mean blood.
