During the early 1900s, railway excursions brought families from Philadelphia to the Jersey Shore. Property for sale enticed them to move from the city to the seashore. My family immigrated from Wales to Philadelphia and, later, moved to the Jersey Shore. The excursion provided an opportunity for them to buy property. This is a semi-biographical historical fiction story describing a family who took advantage of a similar situation.
