"Don't even try this, trophy boy, there's no way I'll tell you anything... Actually, scratch that, there's nothing to tell." He stepped closer so that his breath was on her face. His eyes were half hooded as he stared down at her with an emotionless mask. "You sure about that?" he drawled lowly. His fingers brushed the few strands that had managed to fall from her messy ponytail, she swallowed tightly, trying her best not to display any emotion. Just as she opened her mouth he spoke again, "Because I'm pretty sure all this flinching and hiding means you do have a secret and whatever that is...I promise you I'll find it out." His fingers brushed the silver rings attached to her auburn strands, he touched her chin forcing her to meet his eyes. "And you'll be the one to tell me, Chambers." Her eyes closed tightly as she gritted her teeth. "Don't call me that again." He leaned even closer, his other hand pushed against the wall behind her. "See? There's always a moment..." His breath was on her ear as he lowered his head and continued his sentence in a low drawl, "When you break like you just did a second ago." "Fuck you," she gritted out, pushing him away with all her force. He barely moved, though. Instead, a small smirk appeared on his face as he stared down at the tears in her eyes. "You know what's strange, though?" He twirled a strand of her hair around his finger then looked up at her face. "You flinch away from everyone but me." He stepped back and allowed her to storm out of the room with her hands gripping her hair tightly. His smirk dropped and he stood there wondering why his heart was racing.
