* READ AT YOUR OWN RISK; THIS STORY IS TRASH, and I don't mean this in a "hee hee no judging this is my first book lawl :3" kind of way where the cliche story ends up getting popular anyway even though it's legit crap, I mean, this is ACTUALLY just an awkward prose of a novel I threw together without an outline and with the help of a very random friend. It is kinda funny in its stupidity though. I mean, I, the author, find it funny. You may not. Look, there are no promises here. This story includes: Really cringy drama, random spouts of senseless murder/dark topics that are immediately glossed over, "important characters" completely forgotten, and possibly the least satisfying ending ever (okay maybe not). I really should just take this down, but even though this novel's flaws are ample, I can not bear to delete it, it is, after all, the first book I ever finished. Honestly, this rambling, annoyingly long pre-description is better writing than what follows, yeah, and this is annoying af. YOU HAVE EFFICIENTLY BEEN WARNED!*
Familiars.
They've become a part of everyday life, assimilating into our culture after many years.
But there was once a time when they did not exist, and all that humans had, were petty guard dogs and saddled horses. Cats that hunted uselessly, birds that chirped harmlessly and wild creatures that ruled the shadows.
Not anymore.
400 years later, I will receive my familiar.
