Anne Fandrick is a jazz superstar during the roaring 20's, famous for her continuous number one hits on every music station. The problem is, those number one hits aren't hers, written or identity-wise. So when she wins song of the year, she has to decline the moment she worked all her life for. Coming back to her old record company in a disguise as Beverly Blues, she wants to prove that she can make it to the number one spot as a pianist on the top mainstream stations.
