I may be gone,
but my stay was far too long.
It's sad, I know
But you still have so far to go.
Every night when you go to open the back door
Please don't cry because I'm not here anymore.
When you listen for the sound of my paws,
and all you hear is the sad walls
of our home, please don't mourn.
Instead, be happy because I am finally reborn.
