It all started with the Blitz of 1940. Samuel Wright was a normal ten year old English boy residing in the suburban neighborhood of London, but that all changes when the hostile bomber planes of the Nazi Luftwaffe roar overhead and lay a deadly blanket of bombs over London. His life changed that day. After coming out of the cellar, Jonathan his father makes a disheartening decision to join the resistance. Jonathan is pulled from the ranks of the terrified masses into the masses of the combatants dead set on bringing salvation to wartime Europe. Follow Samuel as he tries to remain a normal boy, and how that is challenged by multiple bombings, new economic policies restricting him, and the absence of his father. Also follow Jonathan Wright, a thirty-six year old man from the beginnings of boot camp, to the vestiges of combat where humanity and benevolence have all but disappeared. -This story is one that will make you consider what life is and it will take you into the minds of people who are struggling against the depressing inhumanities of war, and the realization that their loved ones might not return home.
