Elizabeth is a commoner, born around the 15th century in England, during the Tudor reign. Her mother is a nobody and her father: poor. Childhood is sweet for Elizabeth, but life gets bitter as she grows older. At the age of 15 she discovers her passion for cooking. She takes place in the Greenwich Palace as a chef-substitute for her sick uncle. She longs for love, and misses her parents as she is enslaved in the Palace. The other cooks are wicked and she remains friendless. Soon after, she's finally made a friend. And not only a friend, but a romantic relationship with someone important: a Duke! Their love lasts and ends bittersweet.
