Dabi's eyes flickered down to your mouth and back to your eyes. He liked the effect he seemed to have on you, it didn't take much to get you flustered

"you...have daddy issues" you finished your sentence trying to play it off cool
Dabi laughed "Speak for yourself"
You smiled and rolled your eyes, grabbing the remote control and turning off the tv
"You still have a lot of explaining to do" you turned to face him
"How about we sleep on it" he smirked
You crossed your arms and sulked "No, now tell me what you and Tomura talked about"
Dabi smiled smugly and lied down, his head resting on your lap and his legs stretched out on the couch, "Don't worry about it, just know you are staying in school"
"I am?" you raised an eyebrow, you couldn't tell if he was being controlling or caring
"I can't keep working at UA and the pharmacy plus focus on school-"
"Just hang tight" Dabi interrupted you looking up at the ceiling "I have a plan"
You started playing with his hair "Is that the conclusion you and Tomura came to?"
Dabi hummed "He only cares about destroying All Might and anyone that gets in his way, and you're a key player in his plan"
"What about you?" you asked tilting your head to the side
"What about me"
"What do you care about?"
Dabi shifted his gaze from the ceiling to you forming a huge grin on his face, " I just don't want to get on Stain's bad side when he finds out I let his little sister drop out of school"
"Oh? so you care more about him than me huh?" you teased him
"The truth hurts doesn't it"
You laughed at his comment and tried pushing him off from you, but his head was firmly planted on your lap. This resulted in a small chuckle to escape his lips
So that's what this was about. Although Stain wasn't with you at the moment, Dabi wasn't going to allow you to give up on yourself. Deep down he cared about you, more than you realize
