Heartbreak Girl - Finale

Start from the beginning

"Dad." Jennie whined, rolling her eyes. She quickly finished her ice-cream and Mr. Kim collected the tub and puts it at their sink.

"So." He started. "It's your hmm, bestfriend. Isn't it?" Her dad asked quoting the bestfriend word on air.

Jennie's eyes widened. "How did you know?"

She didn't deny it. I'm right.

"You're my child, Jennie. And you never cried like that again since Lisa left to go back to Thailand that you didn't know it was just a vacation." Jennie smiled at the memory. It's getting clearer to her now. Her feelings are getting clearer.

But isn't she already late?

That girl looks like she really loves Lisa and willing to do anything for her.

Her father sat beside her as she leaned herself in his shoulder "But I think I'm too late, Dad. I didn't realize it until now. If I didn't see her with other girl, I will not realize that I love her more than as a bestfriend. I was so blind because I was used to her being my bestfriend. I was so used to her being attentive to me as her bestfriend." She sighed heavily and let herself cry for the nth time today.

------
Jennie left to visit Lisa at her apartment, it's been two long weeks since that incident happened. And two long weeks that Lisa purposely avoided Jennie and it become a totally torture for the both of them.

I wish I can speak to her now.

She sighed heavily as she reached the place of Lisa. She knocked multiple times but no one responded.

Where was she again this time?

She dialed Jisoo's number, and the phone call was answered immediately, "yes, Jendeuk?"

She hesitates at first but she composed herself by clearing her throat, "was Lisa with you? Or did you know where was she?" She bit her nails, getting nervous.

"No, but I heard she's going today, actually I think she's on the way to the airport n--"

She dropped her phone crying. She ran getting into her car quickly. She drove fast, her vision's getting blurry because of the tears flowing non-stop. Her heart was pounding so fast. Her mind's a mess.

Lisa! Don't leave me, please. Hang in there.

She accelerated her car, overtaking all the vehicles that blocking her way. Miraculously, she reached the airport safe. She quickly ran inside the airport not minding if she has locked her car or not.

She moved her head, finding a Thai girl. She cursed herself on the inside because she didn't pick her phone when she dropped it at Lisa's front door. Now, she cannot show Lisa's face and asked if they see her to a random people. But she has to think. So she started describing Lisa's feature instead. But all she got was none.

She started to break down, losing all her hopes. Her knees are now becoming wobbly.

Until she saw a group of teens talking together. She gained herself.

Last hope, Jennie.

"Jeogyo." The group faced her and they gave immediately pity her.

"what can we do to help you, noona?" One of the boys asked. Jennie started to ask. "Uhm by any chance did you see a tall blonde girl? She has a beautiful doe eyes and bangs, plump lips and has button nose?" Even though she's just describing Lisa, her heart was pounding so hard. Her lips are naturally twitching upwards and her eyes are sparkling.

"Unnie, if I may ask, what was she to you? She seems special to you, though." The girl in the group asked Jennie, smiling.

"Oh. S-she's my bestfriend." Jennie stammered.

"Are you sure she's just your bestfriend? The way you describe her, it's different, unnie. Like she's someone very special to you." The girl smiled michievously.

She is. If she only knew.

"Well, actually. She is. I just recently found out to myself... But what's the point now. She's not here anymore." She tasted the saltiness of her tears again. She sighed and closed her eyes. Her heart was clenching painfully.

"Noona, if ever she'll hear you, what do you want to tell her?" Another boy from the group asked her giving a quick wink to someone.

Jennie inhaled deeply and let her heart speak this time, "I'm gonna tell her that I was sorry. I was late to realize that I need her not as my bestfriend, but simply being her. Oh God, I miss her already." She paused, "I'm gonna tell her, to not leave me. And tell her that Kai and I broke up.. but this time, for good... And..and that, she's so important to me, that I don't want other girl or anyone take her away from me or just even get her attention, because..."

"Because?" A girl from her back asked, smiling. Not Jennie realizing that it was the one she's talking about.

"I love her.. God, I love her." Her chest became light. As she let those words came out of her.

"I love you too, Jennie Kim." Jennie turned around and covered her mouth with her hands. She ran and launched herself to Lisa as they nearly stumble. "I love you very much."

Jennie kissed her on the lips and the butterflies inside her belly gone wild.

The people who witnessed them, squealed. And some, clapped their hand.

They separated and smiled shyly at the crowd.

"I thought you went to Thailand." Lisa frowned and kissed Jennie's temple. They started to walk outside.

"Where did you get that idea?" Lisa asked.

"Jisoo told me you went to the airport. That's why I followed you here. I even left my phone at your place. I dropped it after I learned that you're here." She snaked her arm at Lisa's waist while they walk together.

"No, I took Mina here. She went back to Japan." Jennie separated herself from Lisa as she furrowed her eyebrows.

"Wait, now that I remembered, that girl likes you so much, what happened?"

"We talked, well she knows that I'm in love with you, anyway. She's a good person. I can't afford to hurt her by giving us chance knowing that I'm deeply inlove with you." She fixed Jennie's furrowed eyebrows and kissed her cheek. Jennie can't help but to giggle.

She held Lisa's hand. "Let's build more and new memories together?"

"Heck yeah!" Then they walked happily and contented, hands intertwined.
