"Why is he being like this? I....I.... can't understand?"

"New..."

"No...he is behaving as if everything is normal. Though they successfully cleared the subdural hematomas, but his kidneys are still not functioning properly. They have kept him under an induced coma.....Does he not understand???" This time I couldn't stop the tears from rolling down my eyes, as I buried my head in my palms.

"He is not a fool New but he is also the CEO of this huge Ratanawadi Empire. Emotions are considered as weaknesses here and he doesn't have the luxury to express them." Gavin spoke his voice sounding shaky.

"What can I do for him then???? Please help me......help him??? I can't see him like this?? It's like he has boxed everything up inside and locked his emotions." I cried.

"Give him time. Don't push him. He is already at the edge, if you do anything now it will push him over." Lee said placing a warm cup of coffee in my hands.

I looked at the lonely figure of the person sitting there in the corner. He was still staring out of that window.

"Where is my...m......Mrs.Ratanawadi?" I was just about to say my mother before checking my words.

Lee didn't know who I was. I had to be careful.

Gav sighed. "Mr.Ratanawadi is not keeping very well ever since he heard the news. Doctors are keeping him monitored. Mrs.Ratawadi is with him. She is a strong woman.......Tay is a lot like her."

Tay wasn't their biological son but everything about him screamed Ratanawadi.

"I will go and talk to the doctors." Sitting there was making me feel useless. We had to save Plu.

Just as I got up, I saw Podd running in looking distraught.

"How is Pluem??" He asked as soon as he reached.

"Not good."

"Where is Mon?" He said looking around.

"They are keeping him sedated. He was on the verge of a breakdown." Gav answered pointing towards the room where Mon was.

"I....I....will check on my brother." Podd rushed towards that room without looking back.

I spoke to the doctors and came back to the waiting area again. More and more friends and family had gathered now. Podd's parents were talking to Mrs.Ratanawadi now. Many unknown faces were moving around looking, worried, anxious or just curious. I saw Tay's friend Mild sitting with Gav and.....and.....Earth!

Earth was here too!!! What was he doing here? Lee was talking to a young girl whom I couldn't recognise. I walked towards them and Lee introduced her as Mild's younger sister Jan.

"You took care of Nana Lou?" She said shaking my hand.

"Yeah Nana Lou was my patient." I smiled pulling back my hand.

"My nana is really fond of you Dr.Thitipoom. She says that she survived thanks to you."

I nodded not knowing what else to say.

"Are you Pluem's doctor as well?" She asked. Of course she wouldn't know anything about me.

"No.....I am just here as a friend."

"Oh..." She nodded.

Just as I was about to get away from there, I heard, "Hello! Dr.Thitipoom...we meet again."

Tay's friend Mild said extending her hand. I gave her a wooden smile and acknowledged her presence without saying anything more.

My eyes searched for the one person who was missing from the scene. Where was he?
