"I want to go to the festival" you whined, tugging your brother's sleeve as he tucked you into bed.

"Santa won't come if you go," Chizome said sternly, "You want a quirk don't you?"

You frowned and crossed your arms. Kicking the covers off your bed with your legs, "Stop lying to me, Santa doesn't give quirks, you got yours in Spring!" you pouted, angrily at your brother intent to deceive you

Chizome chuckled as he scratched the back of his neck, "How do you remember that? you were only a baby"

You smiled and flicked your tongue, "That's because I'm the smart one of the family. Plus you hurt me, how can I not remember?"

Chizome sighed as he placed the covers on you once again, "Listen Y/N, you might be the smarter sibling but I'm the oldest so what I say goes. Now, go to sleep"

You scrunched your nose and did as your older brother told you too, "Meanie" you mumbled as he pulled the covers over you, only your eyes popping out

"Tomorrow morning we'll open presents, and maybe we'll get to see your quirk" he smiled as he placed a kiss on your forehead, "Now go to sleep bub"

You were a goner a minute ago. You were ready to give up, to just let Re-Destro take the finishing blow on you.

And then Touya came in when you least expected it

"Shh it's okay" Touya whispered as he held you close to him, "I'm here" he mumbled pressing a light kiss behind your ear

You tried to speak but only whimpers and whines left your mouth. That and a stream of tears as they drenched your cheeks. Touya softly let go of you as he removed his coat and placed it over you

"Wear it" he muttered before grabbing a fistful of his white shirt and using it to wipe the tears from your face, "And stop crying" he mumbled, his voice shaky and uneven, "I can't cry so it isn't fair"

You winced, sucking in a breath sharply, trying to ignore the stinging that seemed to take you over. As you sat up, you slipped into Touya's coat. A charcoal-like smell reeked from it, but you couldn't care less, "Touya-"

Re-Destro slammed his hands on the ground. The whole ground under you breaking. The windows in the room shattering and shards of glass flying everywhere.

Touya pulled you into his chest placing one hand over your head, as he stretched the other and hurled azure flames at the villain

Re-Destro screams filling the space, the smell of smoke in the air, bright flames engulfing the room, Small embers hitting the parts of your skin exposed, and the taste of ash in your tongue

All your senses were heightened as you clench tighter to Touya's body. Years of pain and isolation had altered the chemistry in your body.

You were so used to subdue the feeling of anger and bitterness, that you didn't realize you were slowly being deprived of your sanity, anger entwined with pain and sadness

Suppressing these emotions for so long, it didn't register to you that you were a ticking time bomb. Just one nervous breakdown away from blowing up

You saw the house your parents were trapped in burn in flames

A voice in your head spoke to you

You saw your brother on a tv screen be taken to prison
