He jolted back and tried to hide his face.
"Haha! Dimitri's shy!" A boy teased.
"And here you go as well your highness." Another girl spoke, handing Historia some flowers.
"Thank you so much." Historia praised.
"That kid has a huge crush on you." Eren pointed out.
"No, he's just shy towards girls in general." I answered.
"Anyway, it's time for lunch so everyone head inside!" Historia called out.
All the kids ran past us inside.
"You should sit down, (y/n)." Eren suggested, placing an arm around my back.
"I will." I replied.
We walked inside and I went to my office and took a seat. Eren and Historia followed behind.
"Have you and Levi thought of any names?" Historia asked.
I dropped my head in disappointment.
"No... We haven't even really talked about it..." I murmured.
"Why not? You've had so much time to think about it." Eren pointed out.
"I know... But Levi's been working so hard and whenever we have alone time, he's too fussed about me resting and not pushing myself too far. The only thing he's said about it is no stupid names. I mean, what name can I pick that he won't think is stupid?" I pulled my hair in frustration.
"He doesn't sound too excited for it." Historia wondered.
"No it's not that. He's scared. He's worried that this is the wrong time to bring a child into this world and that he might not even be a good father. Although I vaguely remember him saying we can have kids once this was all over..." I murmured, resting my hand on my chin.
"Does the Captain even get scared?" Eren asked, crossing his arms.
"Believe me, he's actually a very sensitive person. Although he never wants to show it, he definitely has feelings." I snickered.
"The only emotion I've seen is anger and that's always directed at me..." Eren pouted.
"Hehe..." Historia and I quietly giggled.
I then felt the baby moving. I grabbed Eren's and Historia's hands and placed them on my stomach.
"What are you doing?" Eren questioned.
"Just give it a sec."
A moment later and both their faces lit up with excitement.
"I felt the baby!" Historia cheered.
"So did I! Eww, it feels weird..." Eren stuck his tongue out.
I flicked him on the forehead.
"You realise that's your niece or nephew you're talking about?" I pointed out.
"I know... It's incredible how a single person can grow another person." Eren said.
"Uhh yeah? People do it all the time." I teased.
"How does Levi feel about the baby moving around?" Historia asked.
"He loves it. Every night he always falls asleep with his hand on my belly. He's already scolding them for always kicking during the night since it keeps me up sometimes." I explained.
"Oi brat! Go to sleep and let your mother rest!"
"Levi... You can't go scolding the baby now..." I murmured.
"You've been complaining non-stop now you can't sleep comfortably." Levi pointed out.
"It's fine!!" I blurted.
How are you feeling physically?" Historia asked.
"I'm so exhausted... And the baby isn't even born yet... I can't believe how hard this is... My back hurt so bad, my breasts hurt and it hurts to get out of bed..." I complained.
"I don't need to know about all that!" Eren blurted.
"Then leave." Both Historia and I said.

A week went by and unfortunately, Levi had to go to work again. He was trying to refuse because he was worried about me, but he couldn't refuse. I wished he could have stayed as well. Hange assigned him paperwork. It was the last he had to do until he could finally take some time off so Hange decided to give him what was left, which was a lot.
He can't work well at the orphanage with all the kids around so he was going to go back to HQ for the day. It was annoying because the carriage ride was at least an hour to and from. I told him to stay there until it was all done. I didn't want him to come home late and then leave really early.
"You have to promise me that you will send someone over if you go into labour." Levi demanded.
"I promise. But I hardly doubt that'll happen. But don't think about it too much otherwise it'll distract you from working. Just remain calm and as long as you don't get a messenger telling you it's time, I'm fine." I explained, resting my hands on his cheeks.
He ran his fingers through my hair and placed a kiss on my forehead.
"You better tell me if anything comes up. Anything at all."
"I will."
Levi and I shared a kiss. It feels like it's been ages since we've kissed like this. I know he's been bummed out that we haven't been able to be more intimate. I miss it too, but he respects the fact that he might hurt me. We have done a few things here and there but he's paranoid hehe.
"I'll see you when you're finished."
