The Haunting of Fall Manor(Completed)

Chapter 15

Suddenly her eyes lit up.
She definitely wasn't making things up!

"This Jacket isn't mine! The joggers and hoodie are mine but not the jacket! I am definitely not making it up!"

   Tes then felt something in one of the jacket pockets.
  She unzipped it and saw Noah's toy tin soldier!

  She definitely wasn't making it up!

"James!! Look at this! This is proof I didn't make those things up!"Tes exclaimed happily as she brought out the toy tin soldier.

  James pulled over again and turned to face her, taking the toy tin soldier from her.
He scrutinised it carefully.
  "It looks new"he finally said.

"Exactly! Any toy in the Manor would have been old and worn-out but this still looks new. It belongs to Noah, the youngest of the Manor siblings! You see I told you I wasn't making it up!"

  Tes was elated, she felt relieved. She finally had proof and she hoped James would believe her.

  He sighed and started the engine again, this time heading towards Fall Manor!

   "Thank you so much Honey! I really need to help the Manors"

James shook his head as a sign of defeat,left to him, he would have wanted Tes to follow him back home, but she still wanted to go back"
"But why?"

"Why do you want to go back Tes?"

"Because I have to help the Manors"Tes replied.

"You went there seeking for answers to your nightmares now you are being charged with the responsibility to help the spirits that stays there?"

  Tes sighed, it was a long story, she had no intention of explaining it now to James.

  "James its a long story. Look Mabel Manor, the eldest sibling, is hiding a terrible secret from her siblings. She doesn't want to tell them that they are actually dead not alive! There is a curse in that house, that curse is preventing them from moving on, it's also preventing Jake too"

  "And how does that curse concern Jake?"

"Because...."Tes voice trailed off, the thought of her brother makes her sad always.

"Because he died there"

The sentence dropped like a bomb to James. Tes could see the shocked expression on his face.

"How the fuck did he die there?"
 
"I also don't know, but it affects him too. James I was suppose to atleast protect the Manors but I let them down"

  "Don't be so hard on yourself baby"James said trying to comforting Tes.

  "I need to make things right. It's been too long. Mabel needs to tell her siblings the truth, she needs to make peace with her mother"

   Tes eyes lit up on realising what she had just said.
 
  "That's the way for them to move on, Mabel is holding on to the past, that's why the curse still has an effect on her. She needs to make peace with her mother and tell her siblings the truth.
She needs to tell them they are dead and how they died.
That's the way to end this curse and also set my brother free before any other person gets hurt again"

  James didn't really understand all what Tes was saying but he made up his mind to stand by her and support her as she ventured back into Fall Manor.

  They were slowly approaching
Fall Manor. The house looked so huge and scary.
    James pulled over in front of it and turned to Tes, meeting her  gaze
"Are you sure you want to do this?"He asked concerned as he stretched out his hand and took hold of hers, gently caressing it.

  Tes nodded her head in affirmation.
"Yes James. It's the only way. My brother is involved too"

James exhaled deeply and kissed her hands before gently kissing her lips.
  The downpour had lessened already, it was just drizzling.
  He stepped out of the car and opened the door for Tes.
     Tes got down and quickly walked towards the Manor as James hurriedly followed her as she stride determinedly towards the door.

   Tes stands once more before the doors of Fall Manor. She turns to face James, holding his hand reassuringly.

  "I can do this alone ok, just go back baby"

"I'll go back inside the car but I won't leave. I'll stay right outside here"James replied. He had made that decision not to leave her again and he was going to keep to it.

  Tes nodded her head and watched James turn to leave, heading back to his car.
  She turned to the door of the huge scary house, banging it but it wouldn't budge.

  "Mabel please open up! You have to forgive me please. I'm begging you. I can't leave you and your siblings. I care about you all please!"Tes pleaded.

Suddenly the door of the Manor opened, making that weird noise it did when she first arrived.
  Tes exhaled deeply and stepped inside it as the door immediately shut behind her.

  Finally inside, she sees the house brought back to its present day condition, with broken glasses everywhere,dust, torn apart curtains and worn out furniture's.

She had entered the house but she needed Mabel to let her back inside the Manor!

"Mabel please let me back inside"
She got no reply only the sounds of her plea echoing through out the Manor.

"I can help you and your siblings move on! I've gotten the answer Mabel. Just one more chance please!"

Atlast the walls around Tes starts to shift!
Worn out furniture's were made new again and the fallen chandelier floats back up to the rafters like a glittering jelly fish.

Mabel had finally let her inside the Manor!
