My Lazy Prince

Chapter 23

"We’re both dead, right?" he asked. I nodded, as I looked up into his rainbow eyes. They were beautiful as always. 

I grinned, until I saw something behind Doma. My eyes widened when I saw my children with Kagaya and his family.

I instantly rushed to them, hugging them in the process. "Are you all ok?" I asked, worriedly.

"We are now." A familiar voice said. I gasped at the sight of Kyojaro smiling at me. I smiled back, while looking at everyone.

"You're all here...Kyojuro, Shinobu, Kanae Mitsuri, Obanai, Gyomei, Muichiro, Genya, Hinaki, Nichika, Ms. Amane...and Kagaya."

"It seems our plan worked, Ms. (Y/N)" Kagaya smiled. The markings that had cursed him for so long, were no longer there.

"WE WON, OKAASAN! WE BEAT MUZAN!!!" Mitsuri exclaimed with joy. 

I was speechless at the news. That bastard...is dead…

I gently smiled, proudly. Now, no one has to live their lives in fear of the demons. I mentaly thanked Giyu, Sanemi, Tanjiro, and his group for defeating that bastard. Inosuke and Kanao aren't here either. Heh, good for them.

I looked at Shinobu as she was smiling at me, but suddenly frowned when she looked behind me. 

"I see you’re finally dead." Shinobu spat, walking in front of me. "Don’t think of coming near us, you bastard!"

I stayed calm. I know I'm going to have to admit the truth one way or another. "Shinobu, back down." I said, putting my hand on her shoulder, and walked towards Doma.

I walked towards him, and intertwined my hand with his. "Keeping our relationship a secret is a bit unfair for the others, isn’t it my prince?"

"Maybe it is, my diligent wife." 

I heard gasps from my fellow children, as I turned to look at them. It was only Amane and her family who were the only one’s smiling at me and Doma.

A few seconds of silence went by, I was going to end the silence but then-

"AAAAHHHHH!!! OKAASAN FINALLY HAS A LOVE LIFE!!!! And all this time I thought she was going to die miserable and lonely! BUT GAHHH! I WAS WRONG!!!!" Mirsuri screamed, fangirling. "THAT EXPLAINS THE RING SHE KEEPS WEARING!! AHHH!!! SO ROMANTIC!!!"

"Oh, whoops…" Mitsuri instantly covered her mouth, blushing madly with embarrassment.

I chuckled a bit, and returned to look at Doma. Just then, flames of fire started to pop up a few 
meters away from us. 

I stared at the burning gate of what I presumed is hell.

"(Y/N)-chan." Doma spoke. "I think it's time for me to go now." Doma smiled.

I gripped his hand tighter making him look at me. "I'm coming with you." I said with determination in my eyes. His eyes widened and opened his mouth to talk.

"O-okaasan. Wait! Do you know what you're doing?" Muichiro asked, nervously. 

I looked at the young boy, as he and the others looked at me with sadness in their eyes. 

I walked closer to Muichiro and hugged him in the process. "I love you all, y'know that." I said loud enough for them to hear. 

I let go of Muichiro and gave all of them a small but happy smile. Tears were slowly falling from all their faces. I could see that all their hearts were not prepared for this. My heart wasn't prepared for this.

Before I knew it, I was being hugged by all of them. They all started sobbing, hugging me as tightly as they could.

"We'll never forget you, Okaasan!" Mitsuri sobbed.

"Please don't drift away, Okaasan." Genya cried.

"I never thought that one day, we'll be losing you." Obanai softly muttered.

They all started sobbing, as I tried to hold back my own tears. I hugged them all one last time, as I repeatedly told them that it was all going to be ok.

After they let go of me, I waved at all of them. I rushed towards Doma, as the both of us walked towards the gates of hell. 

(Doma's POV)

(Y/N) leaned against my arm, as she started humming a merry tune.

"Are you sure about this, (Y/N)-chan?" I asked.

"Wherever you go, my prince. I will follow." She softly spoke. 

I kept quiet after she said that. I don't want her to come with me. I want her to be happy. I don't want her to be tortured...all because of me.

I looked at the gold ring on my finger. 

She deserves more than this. She deserves someone better than me! All I have been doing is making her life more miserable than it already is!

As the flaming gates grew closer, I asked her a question.

"Ah, (Y/N)-chan." I happily said. Well, I was faking that happiness.

"Hm?" She looked at me.

"If you knew you were going to hell, would you still choose me?" I asked.

She looked down at the ground, but then muttered something. Almost like she was thinking.
"Well…" she began. "If I knew I would be walking with you to hell, then yes. I would still choose you."

I smiled and hugged her. She jolted in surprise, but hugged me eventually. I don't think she noticed yet, but hell is just a few inches away from me. "So, you would still go with me? Even if it's hell?" I asked once more.

"Ofcourse!" She exclaimed.

I kissed her forehead, and softly cupped her face. I looked into her beautiful (E/C) eyes. I smiled. They're Just like Gems. 

"If that's the case…" I placed my hands on her shoulders. "Please forget me."

I pushed her to the ground, as I felt the flames of hell surround me.
