He sighed heavily. Not caring about that hisforearm started to turn a scary shade of purplish black he grabbed the bow again and marched toward the target to collect his arrows. Despite claiming that he only shot two or three round he found himself still standing before the target by dawn.
He felt sore all over but he needed this soreness.
A light tap on his shoulder brought him back to reality. Hyunjin whipped his head to the side yelping in surprise as he saw a hand that seemed to belong to Jisung.
"What are you doing here?" Hyunjin asked stepping back and eyeing the younger suspiciously.
"I was looking for you." Jisung answered playing unbothered as he shrugged. "You just run and didn't came back. The others were worried"
The fact that Jisung came for him almost made him smile but it just faded when the boy mentioned the others.
Of course. The others were worried. Why would Jisung worry about him. He had someone else. Apparently they became so distant that the squirrel like boy didn't even care to tell him about that person.
He wanted to scream. To scream in the boy's face that he loves him. To let it all out and then crying his heart out while curling up under his blanket. Maybe that way it would end finally.
As Hyunjin didn't seem to have an intention to answer, Jisung just reached out and grabbed the boy's forearm and started to pull him with him.
Hyunjin yelped in pain as it was his bruised arm and pulled it from Jisung's grip. He didn't noticed that it became this bad as he couldn't really concentrate on anything else but Jisung.
"We should treat it. It'll become worth" Jisung stepped closer and reached out again. He took the older's bruised forearm between his hands. His touch was so gentle and his gaze showed so much worry and care. "Come with me"
The squirrel like boy carefully pulled the bow away from Hyunjin and tossed it to one of the boys in the hall. Then he pulled the dancer with him throwing an arm around his shoulder.
Hyunjin let him drag him through the school to the nurse room where Jisung got the firs aid kit and gently took his left arm on his lap. The squirrel like boy pulled out some kind of ointment from the kit and started to spread it over the bruised skin.
They sat in silence. It wasn't awkward but wasn't exactly comfortable either. Both of their faces are red.
Jisung was the first to take a big breath and start speaking.
"I meant it." He stated. His hands still holding onto Hyunjin's arm despite he already finished wrapping it up.
Hyunjin looked at him confused. Not really understanding what the younger meant.
"The compliment" Jisung added quickly to explain himself.
"I know" Hyunjin sighed. He really did. And he came to the decision that he rather run out because he became too flushed and didn't want the others to see, than because he became angry. "I just... I don't know what's gotten into me"
He knew. He knew too well but didn't dare to say it out. But he didn't wanted to lie either. The 'I don't know' seemed a diplomatic answer.
"You know, we're always like this" Jisung sighed too.
"Like how?" Hyunjin looked at him with confusion again.
"Arguing about things even if we agree on them." Jisung explained.
Hyunjin didn't answer just hummed a little in agreement. A bitter feeling spreading in his chest. Silence took over them again. Both waiting for the other to speak up.
