Irisia gestured to the caving buildings, tasteless graffiti, and boarded up windows to emphasize her last point.

"Oh, I don't know, Sister. After a certain point, it grows on you."

The angel rolled her eyes in response. "Doubtful."

Lucifer chuckled. "Well, anyway. This little chat has been nice, but I have places to be, murders to solve, people to punish. So I would greatly appreciate it if you would move aside so that I may be on my way."

Her eyes widened slightly. "No. We need to talk."

"Alright than, talk." Lucifer said. Beginning to grow a bit inpatient.

"Well, we can't talk here. Not in front of... mortals."

She said. Glancing at the few humans gawking at them from the street.

"Besides, it's not just you and I who needs to talk. Amenadiel and Ryliel must be in attendance-"

"Ryliel is here too? Well, it really is a family reunion."

Irisia glared at her brother. Lucifer knew how nothing annoys her more than being interrupted. Which is partly the reason why he did it so often when she was around.

"Yes. Ryliel is here as well. And we all need to talk immedia-"

"Sorry, but I have a appointment to keep. Wouldn't want to keep the detective long." Lucifer interrupted. He than put the car in reverse and then drove around his sister. A few people yelled as he touched the sidewalk, but that didn't bother him.

"Who?" Was all Irisia said as she was left alone.

Chloe Decker was standing over the body of the victim. Nina Parkman. Female, African-American, 5'1, 27 years of age, death caused by severe trauma to the head. The victim was a nurse who worked at a hospital on the other side of LA. Hence the fact that she was wearing scrubs.

They were in an abandoned wear house in a bad part of town. Chloe took notes as Ella, the forensic scientist, explained the state of the crime scene.

"-It looks like the poor girl was beaten to death with something that was blunt. Not sure what though. No finger prints that I could find, but we did find a shoe print. But unfortunately it's a pretty average size and brand. So we lookin at maybe 40,000 guys in LA. Maybe 5,000 large footed women?"

Chloe took notes and nodded in response. "Okay. Thanks, Ella. Let me know if you find anything else."

"You got it, Decker. Hey, where's Lucifer by the way?" Ella asked. Chloe shrugged as she glanced around the many people milling around.

"Not sure. Guess he's running late today."

"Oh, alright." Ella was quiet  for a second before,

"Sooo, how have you guys been in the, you know... bow chicka bow wow department?"

Ella swayed her hips a bit as she asked this. "Oh, uh... isn't this setting a bit inappropriate?"

Chloe stammered. She couldn't help the blush making its way to her cheeks because the 'bow chicka bow wow department' was in fact going really, really, really well. All in all, these last three weeks have been pretty amazing.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry. It's just, you guys have had this 'will they won't they' thing going on for years, and now that you've finally will they'd, I want to know how it's going."

Ella said. "Yeah, yeah. It's fine. And it's been going really well."  Chloe reassured.

"Oh, I bet it has been." Ella began to sway her hips again playfully. Chloe couldn't help but laugh.

Lucifer chose this particular moment to walk up beside them. "Good morning, ladies. Uh, Miss Lopez? What on earth are you doing?"

Ella instantly stopped her swaying, almost dropping her camera in the process. "Oh, uh, swaying...to the music?" Ella tried. "What music?" Lucifer asked. "The music.. in... my head?" Ella tried again. "ANYWAY." Chloe interrupted loudly.

"Ella had just finished filling me in on the victim. So there's really nothing for us to do now here."

"Oh yes. I apologize for being late this morning. I ran into, or, almost ran into someone on my way here."

Chloe frowned. "What do you mean by 'almost ran into someone'?"

"Well I mean that I almost hit her with my vehicle."
Lucifer said casually.

"WHAT?!" Chloe exclaimed in surprise. Ella also snapped to attention.

"Emphasize on the almost, Detective. But in my defense, she was standing on the road."

Chloe shook her head in disbelief, but let the subject go. "Okay, then. I guess we'll see you at the station, Ella?"

"Yeah. Oh, wait! Before you go, how's Dan doing? I haven't seen him in a while." Ella asked.

Chloe frowned. "Honestly, I don't really know. He's been calling to check in on Trixie, but not more than that. He's obviously not just sick. But I don't know what's really going on with him."

Ella felt worried about Dan. Something's definitely up with him. "Okay, then. Guess I'll see you later then." Ella answered. "See you later, Miss Lopez." Lucifer said.

—————————-

Dan was at the bar. Again. That's where he seemed to spend most of his time now days. Ever since he saw...

Dan shook his head at the terrifying memory. He just couldn't stop seeing it. Seeing him. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw Lucifer. The real Lucifer. The monster behind the man.

All these years Dan had thought that Lucifer Morningstar was no more than a strange, delusional, eccentric, rich guy.

After all these years, Lucifer has told everyone repeatedly that he was the devil.

And not once, not once, did Dan ever consider believing him. Sure, there were things about Lucifer, Maze, and Amenadiel that he could never explain before he knew the truth. How ironic? He had spend hours wondering, what's their secret? What's his secret? But he had been telling them all exactly what that secret was from day one.

But no one would listen. Dan wouldn't listen.

And now look at him. About to get drunk in a bar at 11:00 am. Probably about to lose his job if he doesn't get his act together.

But it wasn't so much the fact that Lucifer was the devil that haunted Dan the most. It was Heaven and Hell.

Though there was one silver lining to this. Amenadiel had said that Charlotte had made it to the former. So it meant that she was okay. Happy even.

But Dan also knew, that the chances of him joining her were very low. Dan cried right there in the bar. Not caring who saw. Because he truly believed with all his heart, that he was going to Hell.
