"Okay," I whispered in a hushed tone.

Seeing him in a better state, seeing how stable he was made my tears rise and gather into my eyes. I licked the bottom of my lips as I tried to contemplate and view how hard life was back then. I thought deeply about my mom, how she worked herself so hard just to feed me thrice a day.

"Winter is coming, Your Grace, we should prepare for it," he said before going back to his companions.

The Chief smiled before answering. "It's always winter here, Paul, did you forget how cold and how thick the snow here is?"

"Right! Then, I should say the extreme winter will soon be arriving." he corrected himself.

"On it!" the Chief answered.

Paul went to where Josh was standing, they smiled and gave each other a hug. Liam went near me and crossed his arms. "Don't he seem familiar to you?" he whispered.

I smirked. "Is he?"

"I don't know but I think I saw him before," he added and placed his hand under his chin.

I nodded after hearing him and continued looking at them. They seemed to have known each other for a long time judging the way they communicate. They laughed, Paul held Josh's shoulder and walked to where we were.

"I see that you are still the Captain of the Troops," Paul uttered.

"I think so," Josh answered and stared at me. "But Jill here is a captain too," he pointed.

Paul eyed me after Josh's words. "That amazes me, a female captain!" he laughed. "But you are still considered as the captain of the guards which composes both the archers and the swordsmen."

"Well, yeah. If that's what you're referring to, then, yes I am." Josh answered.

Paul and Josh gave each other a smile before separating. Paul made his way in my direction and crossed his arms. My heart beat faster and louder than normal as he tried to walk closer to me. His eyes and the way he speaks are one of the things I remembered him as he is.

"Did your father taught you how to shoot?" he asked.

"No," I spoke with my chin raised high. "I'm pretty much self-taught, my father left us when I was four," I added. "A-and I resent him for that," ended it.

He nodded and pushed his lips to the side of his cheek. "I look forward to seeing you shoot and shooting with you,"

"Same here," I shortly answered.

He nodded again. "Oh, right! Before I forget, here I brought the only survivors from the bombing." he held both the guy and the female survivor.
