Bellamy took them to see Clarke. She had been arrested and they had her handcuffed in one of the rooms in the bunker.

"Thank you for letting me say goodbye" Clarke thanked Bellamy

"Clarke this isn't goodbye" Bellamy told her

"Octavia's sick" Darcy added "They say she might not wake up"

Indra interrupted "Thats enough girls. We can them being seen here. She'll be safe now and so will you" Indra promised Clarke leading the girls out of the room.

Madi and Darcy stood with Gaia in the ring. The rest of Wonkru crowded in the small area waiting for Indra. When Indra walked in she stood in the middle of the ring "the whispers are true" Indra announced "our beloved blodreina has fallen ill. These may be her final hours. Listen to me. I trained Octavia as my second, and I lover her as I love my own child." she turned to Gaia "I advised her, and led her army with pride. It was her desire that if she would ever fall, I step forward to lead you. Bloodreina wanted what we all want to live a better like in shallow valley, and we will, but not through war, not when there's a better way. for the last six years, we have lost hundreds of our people. We can't afford to lose any more. I will negotiate for wonkru to enter the valley peacefully so that no more shall suffer."

"You're not in command here" Miller yelled catching everyone's attention. "not even over the first battalion. Bloodreina gave that honor to me."

Another person spoke up "So you expect us to follow you? He's skaikru."

"there is no skaikru. You know that" Miller deflected 

The person continued "in the absence of a commander, the clan delegates should reassemble and choose the next leader."

A man interrupted "Blasphemy. Miller's right. There are no more clans, only wonkru and enemies of wonkru."

"That's funny coming from someone who only escaped death in this arena because our real enemies fell from the sky." the woman argued.

The two speakers started pushing each other others intercepted some trying stop the fight and some trying to join in. They were only stopped when Miller fired two gunshot into the air. "Now, I'm not asking you to follow me.I'm asking you to follow Octavia. Yesterday she ordered us to march on the valley, so we march for blodreina!" Miller yelled. Wonkru chanted in agreement.

Defeated Indra walked over to Bellamy.

Bellamy lead Darcy into Gaia's room. Indra left to check on Octavia and Gaia locked the door.

"Darcy, do you know why they brought you here?" Gaia asked. 

Darcy shook her head. Gaia pulled out the rusted tin the flame was kept in and Darcy quickly backed away.

"Hey, Darcy, it's ok." Bellamy reassured her "It's ok. No one's gonna hurt you. "

"I told you, I would never force this on you, and I won't, but there are things happening now that they believe only the wisdom of the commanders can save us from, and as much as I wish it wan't so, I believe it, too." Gaia told her

"You're talking about the war." Darcy said "But you've been teaching us to fight."

"Some fights aren't worth fighting, Darcy, not when there's another way. Clarke made a deal with Diyoza for peace, and Octavia's too sick to accept it now, but Wonkru won't follow anyone else." Bellamy explained 

"Wait Clarke knows about this" Darcy interrupted 

"Yeah. She doesn't approve." Bellamy answered. 

"No. She wouldn't." Darcy said "Bellamy, if I do this, she'll never forgive you.'

"Darcy-" Gaia tried

"Just wait.' Darcy interrupted "What happens to Clarke if I don't do this?"

"Darcy, I hate to put this on you. If there was anything else I could do, I would, but this how we stop the war. This is how we save that valley, your home, and my friends." Bellamy told her. "this is how we save Clarke."

Darcy looked at the tin in Gaia's hands "okay" she whispered "but I want Madi to get the same protection I get"

"Okay" Gaia agreed

 Gaia, Darcy, Madi, and Bellamy began the ascension ritual. Gaia carried a bowl and stood in front of Darcy. "Don't be afraid." Gaia told her. Gaia dipped her finger in the bowl and drew a line between Darcy's eyebrows. Gaia turned back and carefully grabbed the flame then approached Darcy from behind. Darcy moved her hair away from her neck. Gaia whispered the key word and the flame lit up. Gaia put the flame to her neck and it dug its way into it. Darcy squeezed her eyes shut and just as quickly as it started it was over. 

Gaia, Bellamy, and Madi knelt down beside her. "this collar will protect the flame." Gaia told her putting it on. 

"Back away from the child right now." Miller ordered breaking into the room

Clarke came in with them she went up to Bellamy and slapped him then went to Darcy " I need to get it out now" Clarke said

"Clarke no" Gaia warned "the flame is bonding with her mind. If you take it out now before its complete she may never wake up."

"Quiet, traitor.  Do it Clarke." Octavia told Clarke entering the room

Gaia turned to Octavia "if you kill this child, you make her a martyr you weaken yourself even more."

"I can't" Clarke said turning to Octavia

"Take them to the rover" Octavia ordered her guards "go"

Madi tried to protest but Clarke pulled her along.

"Arrest the traitors." They heard Octavia say 

A/N I'd say this chapter ended on a good note. look at me two chapters in one day. this ones longer then the other chapter and obviously I made one major change having Darcy be the commander instead of Madi but I just thought it'd be weird if I had like a 12 year old be the commander when I also have a teenager who could be the commander so yeah. hope you enjoyed.
