Thoughts of the Past

Start from the beginning

In all reality, she holds all the power. She has always been my one weakness, my infatuation. Ever since the first day I saw her I knew there was this strange pull she had over me. She was only just born a few weeks before, but I had this sudden feeling of possession. I just knew she was mine, and I would do anything for her. Didn't understand what that was. Until a few years later my mother had explained to me what a blood bond between supernatural's was.

That is when I knew Ellie was not just an infatuation to me, she was my everything. She was my other half. The fact He and His men thought they could take her out of this world made my blood boil.

The only reason I did not take him out then was I was only a young boy of eight, and he was my superior. He was much stronger than I. He demanded obedience, and respect. If he did not get either of those, he would beat anyone, including me to an inch within my life until he got what he wanted.

Over the years I have learned just what a monster the man was. Of course, he always treated me differently than the rest of the family. Why, I never really understood, but over the years I have been an obedient soldier.

The man he has wanted me to be, biding my time until I can get her back into my possession. Because he will find out when she comes into her full power that she never died that night.

He's not a stupid man. He will soon put it all together. Figuring out that I had followed and saved her that night. He will then kill anyone he sees as a weakness. Any man that was there that night that couldn't finish the job. He will slowly descend on us. Making it his life's mission to end us all.

I never understood why he had a change of heart and turned on his oldest friend. They had been friends since childhood. They were trained together since they could crawl.

Their fathers were best friends. Their families have a long outstanding history together. It was as though he had found out something. That something, whatever it was, he did not like. I heard him thinking he could not let that happen, and he needed the girl dead.

He knew her father would not just allow him to kill his only daughter. She was after all the apple of her parents' eyes. So, he ordered five of his men to take all three out. I did not even think, I ran to my room and out my window so fast.

Had no shoes on and left my coat at the house, but I did not care. I needed to get to my Ellie. Needed to protect her, I could not let them harm her in any way. She is my possession, my everything. Mine!

They kill her, I know there would be no going back. They would kill a part of my soul, and I would never be the same. I could not let that happen.

So, I ran as fast as I could until I caught up to their vehicle. She must have spotted I was not far behind because I remember her looking back at me and smiling with a little wave of her hand. I just remember screaming after the car, but they did not seem to hear me. As the black SUV made it around the corner, I knew instantly what was about to happen.

I am not sure how I did it. I just remember feeling out of breath, my legs were burning. I had tears running down my cheeks, and all I kept thinking was I need to get to Ellie. I closed my eyes and thought of her. The next minute, I opened my eyes when I felt someone place their hand within mine. Looking to my right, I saw a very scared Ellie.

She asked me how I did that, but I could not answer her. I did not have a clue myself. It all happened so fast. Her mother was screaming at her husband to go faster. He couldn't in time, and their vehicle was hit from behind.

Next thing I can remember is Ellies terrified face as the car rolled its way down the side of the mountain into the trees. I closed my eyes thinking about how I needed to get Ellie out of the car, and we needed to hide.
