David simply rolled his eyes, while I sent him an apologetic look.
"Ooh, what're those?" He pointed towards the sky, while I simply shrugged since he had a habit of seeing randomly things nowadays.
"Yeah, what are those...things?" Jake muttered, looking up into the crisp, cold air.
I finally gave in and looked towards the sky, just in time to see six large figures diving straight for us.
Gryphons.
Six adult gryphons diving straight for us.
My first thought was: Shit we have to run, as you normally think when you see six deadly bird monsters diving straight for you.
My next thought was-
"Protect Oliver!" Autumn immediately yelled, while everyone agreed to her train of thought immediately.
Confusion cut through the deep concern and worry that I'd felt the first time seeing these large monsters.
Gryphons were normally fairly skittish when it came to humans, they wouldn't approach or attack unless you strayed too close to their nest.
So, why were they diving straight for us?
I looked around, but the only thing I saw was the pure white snow surrounding us.
No trees, no cliffs, not even anything resembling a forest that a gryphon would want to nest at.
They began circling us from above, making me instinctively place Oliver in the middle of our protective circle.
Autumn pulled out her large ax, that was made purely out of chimera parts.
Jake followed her lead and pulled out his bow, that was made out of lycan fangs and bones, he placed a silver tipped arrow on it and pulled the string back.
Brandon bared his teeth, growling lowly in warning, while David lowered his head and legs, getting ready to pounce.
I couldn't do much, since I didn't have any sort of weapon on hand.
So I focused my attention on keeping those beasts away from Oliver via waving at the air and screaming like a madman.
But like I had mentioned earlier, I couldn't do much.
That part was made clear when a light grey and white gryphon snatched up Autumn, making our entire protective circle crumble.
A golden brown and white gryphon got David, who could only squirm in the beasts claws while being carried away.
I tried to reach Brandon in time, but he was taken away by a pure white gryphon and while my focus was on Brandon, a fiery red gryphon took Oliver, making panic creep into my very being.
I didn't even mind that one of the last two had snatched me up too.
All that I could focus on was getting my friends and son back.

I had given up on trying to escape the deadly grasp of our captors hours ago.
We were being carried into a snowy forest.
At first the snow was thick, you could barely walk through it, then it got thinner and thinner until it revealed green grass with the occasional clump of ice or snow in it.
The large forest began disappearing like the snow had, first starting out dense, then dwindling into a completely new area.
A city...
There were many houses, stores and stalls scattered amongst each other that looked unexpectedly organized for such a busy area.
Large roads lead into different parts of the city and occasionally breaking off into the depths of the dark forest. There was a large stone castle in the middle of this city, that reached into the dark purpley orange of the sky.
All of this was amazing, organized and just a tad bit intimidating, but it was all so beautiful as well.
"Woah..." Jake muttered from his spot next to me and I had to agree.
Goddess, I could practically see him begin drawing up maps and scrolls full of information on this place.
Speaking of...
"Where are we!?" I whisper shouted.
He looked around, examining the large monsters that had been carrying us and the city below.
"The Crystal Moon pack.."
