Chapter 7 - Here She Comes

"Jeez, you're disgusting," he remarked, wiping the hand against his scrubs. She didn't listen to him though, he thought he was far more disgusting. 

"You're the disgusting one. So what, do my sisters know my crush too? And APRIL." she shot them all a glare. Amelia was the first one to speak in midst of the intense silence.

"Sit down," she said. Meredith sighed and did so on the bed across the three women. Alex stood beside her. 

"You know about it, don't you?" Meredith asked once more and they nodded, a little sorry. 

Meredith sighed in her seat and composed herself. The three women laid back too, seeing as Meredith let their unethical abduction slip.

"Do know that I'm still unhappy you guys got the news from Alex, I just, my top priority right now is stopping Arizona's date, in which if you guys are the answer then so be it. But I will make sure to shout at you guys later."

Amelia smiled, "Great. So, Alex, plan please."

Every one of the girls averted to Alex, who was reaching for whiteboard on Meredith's bed. Meredith gave it to him, a sour look on her face. He snarled, "You'll thank me later."

"Ladies, listen up. I've already talked to De Luca, the OB Meredith here was not too happy about. And I asked her if she was interested in Arizona,"

"Then?" Meredith said. Amelia, April, and Maggie tried their hardest not to laugh.

Alex too was suppressing a laugh behind his sly grin, "She said she was. Really interested, Arizona was the type of woman she needed in her life. Word for word."

Meredith only squinted.

"Good news though, I didn't buy of that and would rather have, you, cancel Arizona's date. Besides I know you better,"

"Cut to the plan." Meredith replied. Eager to get to that part already. Alex's brotherly approval can come later.

"So I sent her to another hospital for tonight to assist in the labor or quadruplets. It's a coincidence Owen just talked to me about going there as help but I offered her instead. And nobody gets to turn to down the chief unless you're a part of the board,"

"Especially if you're new," Amelia said nodding. 

"Exactly." Alex replied.

They all looked to a contemplating Meredith though, she was clearly lost. 

"Hey, don't tell me you're bailing out," Alex said.

Meredith shook her head, not meeting anyone's eyes. She was definitely nervous, and it was sure to show. 

"I- I can do it."

"Do what? You're gonna come as Arizona's date, no bailing alright. If not then you just spoiled a completely good catch for my sister." Alex said and shot a look towards April. The redhead commended him with an approving but quiet 'yeah'.

Amelia was the first to stand up in the midst of the silence with a pleasant smile. The brunette grabbed Maggie's arm too, forcing her to sit up.

"I guess we need to get home, Mer. You have a date!" 

Alex gestured for April to leave with him, "And we have Arizona to take care of. She'll be pretty shocked to see Meredith show-up instead of the hot OB, that's for sure."

April giggled while walking beside Alex, "You're getting good at this, Alex. I wonder when you'll wingman for your other sister." 

Alex raised a brow amused, "I'll wingman for you once I find a decent enough guy. Do you know how much easier it is to find stunning girls for Arizona than it is to find a guy who's not a complete ass for you?"
