"I walked today," I explain to her as we walked into the school.

"I wanted to do something different." She looked a bit surprised, then shook it off.

"Anyways, did I tell you about the trip to Australia Mrs. Alcansar wanted to take her geography class in a few months?"

"No." I respond, clueless.

"Well it cost $300, but it covers it all. Like the hotels, food and transportation."

I nodded. "Elena, you know my mom. She wont let me do anything. My mom wouldn't allow anything fun for me."

"That's not true!" Elena protested. "Wha-"

We rudely inturrupted by the bell. Soon, kids swarmed the hall and I scampered to class.

I peered down from above. My feet dangled freely from a tree branch.

The earthy smell of rot and moss made me feel more alive then ever. It was wierd, I felt oddly pretty in the forest, I felt beautiful and light hearted, like the animals spoke to me.

That's when I heard a giggle.

My eyes flew to the source.

It found a girl. She appeared to be the same age as me. She was dancing and singing, whilst giggling to her hearts content.

The most astounding thing was how beautiful she was. Platinum blonde hair, down to her waist. She was so slim and had on a floral printed dress on.

Her skin glowed and showed off a gorgeous trasparency.

The girl looked so friendly. I just wanted to say hi to her. I couldn't resist.

I eagerly climbed down the tree and raced to the girl.

When her eyes met mine, pure fear emerged in her eyes.

"Oh no," She whispered. "I wasn't careful. Shhh, you musn't tell anyone." She quickly turned and ran deeper into the forest.

I found myself tempted to chase her.

So that's what I did. "Wait!" I shouted, but she didn't stop.

"Wait, please, I wont hurt you!"

Then before my very eyes, the girl that I once saw, turned into a small rabbit and hopped away. I stood there, breathless, as I watched what just happened.

Wait, what did just happen?

My heart bammed against my chest.

I quickly turned on my heel and ran as far away from the rabbit as I could. It wasn't that it was chasing me, I just didn't want to be in its presence.

After a few minutes of running, I managed to get home. At that time, I notice I left my stuff in the forest. I would just have to get it later.

Running into the house, I slammed the door shut and called for my mom.

She usually stood there, waiting for me while giving me a icy stare as if she suspected I robbed a bank,

"Mom?1" I call out. There was no answer.

"Mom?!" I called out again. Still no answer. Weird. Suddenly, the recent fear of what just happened was replaced with curiosity.

I stomped up the stairs. It creaked with every foot that made contact with it.

I let out another feeble call. This time, the response I got was a whimper. It came from my room.

With one stride, I was at my room, twisting the door knob.
