Xian Sheng wasn't that heavy but he wore thick clothes. When Zhan Lue was carrying him, Xian Sheng purposely fell down and his pale white face was squished against the collar of his clothes. His hat almost fell off and his face was scrunched into a bun, looking as if he had given up.

Zhan Lue looked down and propped one foot up while bending his knee and raising his leg, placing Xian Sheng on his legs like a little. After he evened out the collar on Xian Sheng's clothes and pulled the hat up for him, Zhan Lue started carrying him again. He said in Xian Sheng's ears, "That's how you should be."

Xian Sheng disliked Zhan Lue's touch and shifted his face to the side.

The post station was clearly set up for him to temporarily live in. The items in the room were all prepared. The tables, chairs, and bed were really clean as well. Xian Sheng was placed on the bed and he tugged on his clothes.

Besides stopping for a snack and living in a tavern, Xian Sheng almost never got off the horse carriage. He just wore the shoes because he thought he was getting off the horse carriage and the bottom of the shoes were clean too. After he got off, he decided to move his feet back and hide it underneath his long gown. He stood up straight and said, "Troubling Your Highness."

After all, he was the princess of the Liang Country, so he kept to his bearing. Even if he slept the entire way and had messy hair without any hair accessories, he had a quite elegant and graceful temperament still.

"According to the rules, the Princess Consort can only move into the East Palace after the wedding. The place is worn-down here, so the princess will have to suffer for two days."

"It's Xian Sheng's blessing to be able to marry Your Highness. How can you use the word 'suffer?' Your Highness, you must be joking."

Zhan Lue was being polite and so was Xian Sheng. The man suddenly smiled with an unknown intention. He bent down and moved closer to Xian Sheng, saying in a gentle voice, "Since you know it's a blessing, you must grab onto this opportunity and not let me worry about you, right?"

There was a double meaning behind his words. Xian Sheng faintly felt pressure and was forced to nod his head. He braced himself and said, "I know."

"I have other matters to attend to, so I won't be staying here. Eat something and rest well."

He was efficient and quick, turning around and walking out of the door. The silk brocade bag by his waist fluttered and then landed. Ruyi glanced at Zhan Lue's figure as he walked out of the post station, trembling in fear. Shen then hurried in to hear Xian Sheng coughing. She rushed over to pour a cup of water for him. "Princess, he left. Did he bully you before?"

Xian Sheng drank the cup of water to relieve his throat, saying emotionally, "Now that it has come to this point, so what if he bullied me?"

"Princess..." Ruyi wanted to say something but was worried that she might make him think of past memories. She became spirited and then said, "This maid will go prepare a few furnaces to warm the room for you. Don't get a cold again."

It was incredibly cold in here and the room was big and empty. Even if he wore a lot, Xian Sheng still felt the wind creeping into his bones.

He couldn't help but think of the warm and spring-like capital. In his impression, all the winters that he had experienced before in the capital were not as cold as this one winter.

"It's fine." He stopped Ruyi and said, "Leave it like this."

If he gets a cold, he'll have an excuse to delay the wedding.

He obviously knew that Zhan Lue was telling him to not cause trouble before he left. But how could Xian Sheng possibly listen to him? He was sure that if he followed Zhan Lue's way, his death would be the wedding night three days later.
